So I'm browsing a store on my lunch break and notice the December 09 issue of EDGE magazine featured a story on Dust 514 and CCP. So seeing as how good I am to you all, I've scanned and uploaded the article for your viewing pleasure. -------------

Nice read even though there wasn't much in it we didn't already know. Also in before ccp locks the thread for violating publishing rights of a friendly game mag.

Edited by: Ademaro Imre on 26/11/2009 01:43:49 [ Its still a shame that CCP went to the cheapest place they can go to get the cheapest programmers they can find who can not legally play on the networks they are designing a game for. Dust will end up in the same dustbins that all other ps and xbox games quickly find themselves after leaving Shanghai studios. The game concept will not kill Dust, CCP/Shanghai will, unless they are able to do what no other game developer has in China.

CCP have managed to build a game that, against all odds, has not only done well, but done spectacularly well. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and see how things go before I start screaming "Oh noes! It gonna failz!!!!1"

Cheap != bad. Spending more money doesn't automatically equal a better product.
That, and CCP has already been able to do what no other developer has done before, and they're from Iceland even.

Edited by: Florio on 26/11/2009 19:19:28 yay, i read it before the moderation! :)
interesting stuff. i laughed a little where it suggested that eve players could be trusted not to nuke battlefields from orbit.
the magic, the gathering reference was to the players' limited choices of vehicle before a match.

That didn't even occur to me, thanks for the heads up. I hope that doesn't say anything about me. Regardless, the mod got to it before I did so it's all cool. For anyone interested, check out December's issue of EDGE magazine, interesting read. -------------

put dust on PC and tie in with eve and you will maintain a good player base go consoles and it will be a one hit wonder Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |
