I need some advice on how to raise my Caldari Faction. I have a current standing with Caldari of -2.25 (Diplo V) and need to raise it a little more in order to do missions. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. |

I have read that sisters missions help gallente and Minmatar. I ran some sister missions and saw that some of the mission rats were factions that have pos. standing with Caldari. Are there any other suggestions?
Thanks for the response so far.

to make a long story short:
* Open People & Places * Search for faction "Caldari State" * open their Info * go to their standings tab, and open "Likes" (not "Liked by", you want those that the Caldari State likes) * see if you can a faction on that list that you can still work for, and work for them * notice how you gain a derived standing with Caldari State every time you complete a storyline mission for the faction you have chosen, up to a certain point.
If you can not work for any of the listed factions.... then you are plainly out of luck and have to check if you can work your way up with any faction on their likes list the way described above. Quite a bit of work, but possible.

Your only option is to do missions for the ally of the faction you p-ed off. Since you p-ed off both, "welcome" to EVE where all your actions matter. In other words, you should had thought before you alienated both factions. Time to get that alt at work, I guess.

Thank you. I will try that now.

Also try raising your diplomacy skill so you can run missions for those agents quicker of higher level/quality.

Oh yes, and since this is a game and everything is so realistic, that makes perfect sense... oh wai...
Well then, maybe theft should cause concordokken, and lowsec should have faction militias then. And if you have negative sec. status you are permakilled if you get podded (since after all, no legit corp would allow you to ressurect in their station). And, let's make it so that concord don't always kill you, let's make it so that you have a chance of getting away with it, IF you're quick enough. And then if you don't clean up your mess, they'll find you after a few weeks and permakill you, IN A STATION!
Maybe we should just make this GAME more booring than real life. I'm sure most of the players would love that, don't you? [/sacrasm]
There needs to be a fix for this. I think it's amazing that CCP hasn't done anything yet, and that there is (was?) no mention of this in the tutorial.

There is no need for fixing. As far as I know the various small factions aside the four major empires have a pretty interesting standing network that basically allows you to be able to fix any standing of non pirate factions somehow by following the Likes-list of each faction. Noone said it would be easy, but it is doable. The only factions I know you can really mess up easily, with currently absolutely no way back, are Sanshas and Blood Raiders. Those two only like each other, so if you kill them both you have no way back in.

Not sure what standings you have to have to be able to run faction wars for caldari, but if you can join faction warfare, standing increase quite fast on rank up...

Ok, an update.
Lufio II was right on the money. I was able to take his advice and am now increasing the faction I need.
Thank you again.

REJOICE! all you standing poor cabbages, for dominion is your salvation:
from patch notes:
"It is now impossible for players to never have access to agents. Level 1 agents, up to Quality 0, will be available to all players regardless of their faction, corporation, or personal standing with the agent. This does not affect Research Agents or access to the character location service offered by some agents, they maintain their high standards."
WoW killer. No, not a joke...really...why won't you belive me!!!! |
