òYou can no longer inject skills if they cannot be added to the end of the training queue immediately.
Why this change? Seems like an unecessary PIA to me. You're in a university, buy a bunch of books you're going to need, and inject all of those you can while your mind is wrapped around it and carry the rest with you. (I actually wish you could inject the books prior to getting the prereqs but thats asking for more convenience)
Now you'll either need to carry the books around with you and think about them again or more likely:
go through the tedium of:
Cancel your current skill cue but remember them,
inject a bunch of level 1's . Put the previous skills back in cue. Then, if you don't care about those level 1's you just injected, take them out of the cue and leave them at level 0 . Why make the extra grunt work navigainting mechanics and ui to accoumplish your intent ?

I remember when there was no queue, doesn't bother me too much.

Just instead of "Inject Skill", click "Train now to Level 1"
Then go to your skill queue and delete it from the queue - ping, injected.

Then I hope they've corrected the glitch I got quite often, not showing me the "train now to level 1 option" when clikcing on a new book.
Also, I mentioned the work-around of starting a skill then taking it out of the cue... but why would they put us through that bother? Is making it complicated and time comsuming to navigate the mechanics to do what you want to do game content?
Sure its a tiny thing but seems like a step in the wrong direction to me.

This is a truly daft addition :D
Does anyone know the thinking behind this?

Maybe the discovered a glitch when injecting skills and this 'works around' by removing the what could create the problem?
I do remember loging a petition over the queue stopping on me while it still had skills in the queue. 2 weeks of frustration 1st from the petition and 2nd by the bug report crew where they asked me to duplicate the circumstances of the stopped queue when it seamed to have stopped while I wasn't logged in which makes me think it was 'server end' yet they kept asking for 2 weeks for me to duplicate it client end ...

This is not a change. It is a bug fix. The option to add to queue would appear even though the skill could not be injected because of prerequisites not being fulfilled. If you used the option, it would fail. Now the option does not appear.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

Yeah, I think this is a misunderstanding of what they mean (or a rather poor way of saying it in the patch notes, really). I just injected three skills just fine. I think they mean that if you can't train the skill, you no longer get the 'inject skill' option at all.
Or something like that anyway. Really just posting to say that injecting is still an option and it works just fine.

Its a bit misworded i think. After the dominion patch i had a skill training that took 3+ days. I then injected a book. Clearly the book skill couldnt fit in the end of que.
So what it should read is- book cant be injected without prereqs trained.

That was already the case. I think what they mean is "Skillbook cannot be added directly to the end of the Q". At least, that's the only change I saw, and completely not what the patch notes said.

I can confirm this as well. I had a 4 day skill training when I logged in last night, and I was able to inject Thermodynamics, Archaeology, and Bomb Deployment without stopping the training of my long skill. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |
