If anyone is in doubt about how UK were viewed by the majority of AAA, Ill try and clear it up. Using a district 9 analogy, CVA are the prawns, AAA are MNU and UK are the cat food.
Also hey gobs, you should talk directly into the mic more often, apart from that I had fun with your roaming whatnots.

Then you should have quit before your alliance became a laughing stock.
Ahahaha the irony of this post is astonishing. When was UK at its zenith, what late 04-early 05? And that is before we even get onto the corp and the poster.
UK is an extremely welcoming, fun loving corp centred on enjoying the game and providing a wide ranging experience of Eve for our fellow members. We don't get hung up on elitism or image. We don't back stab each other. We don't rage at each other and constantly call each other ***gots, or try to outdo each other. We actually consider each other to be friends, equals, and almost never argue in alliance chat.

I'm not. There is a difference between the number of 'pilots' in an alliance, and the number of 'active pilots' in an alliance. Your focus on slow, highly selective, organic growth (or whatever you want to call it) essentially meant that you had increasingly less 'active pilots', despite the gradual incline of total numbers. So far, so obvious.
What compounded this is your openly elitist outlook and recruitment approach - which inevitably meant that the larger percentage of players joining you have been in-game for many years, and are thus much more likely to be less active, or plain old 'done it all before' bored.
Bored veterans don't drive alliances forward, they don't make the game fun, they don't encourage participation, they don't have the willpower to drive campaigns and get results. And the many, many unchecked egos in your alliance created an intimidating environment for any would-be FC to develop their skills, no matter your intentions.
Regardless of whom it applies to, being PL or others, Butter Dog actually makes sence with this.
As a somewhat jaded and bored vet who has operated on the larger stage, I completely agree. Shocking though it may seem, I agree with Butters...heheh. ---------- "How much easier it is to be critical than to be correct." ---Benjamin Disraeli |

Butterdog made sense, brb checking hell :p.
Joking aside it'll be interesting to see where this goes. Bob were beaten soundly last time, and whilst it was super unfair to drop their sov, it proved that.with an even playing field they were no longer the best.
Tbh I'd gladly join either side to shoot ****, and I think this time either side would be enjoyable to join. As long as bobs overall mentality of "we da best" is tempered by some reality checks anyway.
And hi Narciss. Jeff drake still around?

We certainly got beat, no arguments there.
"with an even playing field"? I don't think anybody thought that it was "fair", but that was the point wasn't it? Cuz like, how could it be "fair" when the enemy had a secure industrial base to work from?
It's pretty exciting to be back though :)

aye it's impressive that bob came back. Most alliances happily disband after losing space. Angry propellers and all that.
And true, imbalances in terms of industry. But sov 3/4 systems defended by a competent foe were ridiculous by the same token. I'm happy to be back for dominion to see how the new mechanics play out, will be interesting to spectate if I don't end up taking part.
Ps is Shadoo back fcing since gobbinsgate? Fantastic fc. Despite being as emo as I am :p.

So let me get this straight.
Gobs leads PL to take the alliance to the victory circle for the alliance tournament and when it comes time to give out the prizes PL gives Gob's the middle finger and keeps his faction cruiser?
