I have a question about BPOs, I see several blueprints on the market with less than 90days remaining but when I try to sell an unresearched BPO it doesn't let me put it there. Could someone explain how this works? Thanks.

Could it be that your Bp has been partially used.

If it's unresearched, make sure it's repackaged.

That was my first theory, that if you use it to copy or manufacture it can not be put on the market again, but I doubt that data is stored on the BP, can you confirm this is the case?

I've searched for that option in the right menu and it doesn't apear, is any other way to repackage it?

I've seen this before on assembled prints, there is no repackage option currently and you can't sell unpackaged on the market. Usage is irrelevent on BPOs. It's likely to be a documented bug, or something new that's popped up with Dominion, I honestly can't remember either way. Stick it on contracts, it's irrelevant there whether it's assembled or not.

The only blueprints that may be sold on the market are packaged unused blueprints. Once you use them you can't ever package them again (has always been the case). Packaged they are just Blueprint Type X: Qty 1 (generic item/quantity/no attributes), once you use them they become Blueprint X ME:x PE:x Runs:Unlimited (an individual item with attributes).
Basically the ones on the market with 90 day timers are ones people bought in other regions, and moved in without ever using them.

Thanks for the answers, I think I'll fill a petition to check if this is a bug or intended feature.

BPOs have acted this way since the dawn of EVE.

Once unpackaged, no matter were it due to manufacturing, research or even cancelled research/manufacture, bpo can't be repackaged & sold on market. Contracts & forum WTS is your only option from now on.

For some reasons (I don't know but it's probably for database unique IDs saving) packaged items are *not* the same thing that unpackaged items of the same name are. I.e. they even change their internal instance ID. It's possible the packaged items are given reusable IDs (all this effort is due to 32 bit limits on how many IDs you can create) while unpackaged items are given a proper "forever" ID.
This would explain why repackaging an item - and thus losing its ID (the roleplay guys could consider it as its "True Name") back into the reusable IDs pool, lose rigs and insurance (no way they leave rigs and insurance tied to an "anonymous" item that lost everything but an ID pointing to the container (in this case a player) owning it.
(Note, it's even possible that packaged items don't have a reusable ID at all but an hardcoded ID + stack ID + station ID + owner ID or something like that).
A BPO follows the same mechanism. Since unlike regular items, BPOs can be improved with research, CCP made the assumpion that people would not buy BPOs and use them as mistake so you cannot repackage them (you'd even need special code added, to warn you that you'd lose the research made, I.e. touch the dreaded "ancient game code").
So, as usual I went on an irrelevant tangent but it might tell people some technical concepts that maybe they were wondering about since years. - Auditing and consulting

That's good info and interesting reading, I knew about the concept, but not the technical details and not with such nice wording. Thank you all for the answers again, I'm amazed with the quality of the posts.

I will just add that you will "unpackage" a bpo if you even attempt to start a research or production job. For example, if you want to do ME research and you click on the BPO and then find there are no available public lab slots in your system, when you close out that window you BPO will no longer be packaged. And if you decide you want to sell it unresearched you will have to sell it on contracts and probably take a much bigger hit than if you were able to sell in on the market.
I think that should be considered a bug, but it has been there since the dawn of time and is unlikely to go away soon.
