Issue: Burning back to gates at high speeds results in bouncing off, which is not good when trying to get out of a bubble camp.
Is there a key to avoiding this?

That doesn't always work, since it'll only register it as a jump attempt if you're actually within 2500m of the gate (and the Selected Item window is delayed, which makes matters worse) - and by the time the server receives the request, you may have bounced further than 2500m away already.

Approach by using orbit at 500km. I think that will let you avoid the bouncy part. Downside is that you'll probably race past it instead. |

- Approach gate - Right click it > Add as next waypoint - Click autopilot

or hit add as waypoint first. Either way autopilot trick is best trick

Confirming AP is good for people who are too weak to do it manually!

Just remember to disable the AP after you jump, nothing worse then getting back though the gate only to warp to the next gate at 15km and die there.

AP method is best, it ensures you've waited out your session change timer. if you want to do it manually wait in gate cloak about 30 secs before heading back to the gate.

Instead of burning directly to the gate you could manually alter your course to pass it.
Basically, just aim towards the side of the station, burn, at 2000m hit the hotkey for "Stop Ship" at 500m mash "Jump"
It would suck though if you accidentally flew past the gate. Do that and you can kiss your ass goodbye.
