Hello thar, is there anyway to download eve without installing it? i want to download it at my uni using their super speedy internet connection but don't want to isntall it on there computer as i can't (requires admin account)

Haha, I suppose you could attempt to cloud it but otherwise it must be installed locally to play.

hmm when i downloaded it the file was called premium, il try it when i get home and report back.

What you want is our Offline Installer as already linked above. Download once, copy it on a DVD, or USB stick, take and install anywhere you need. It also has the advantage that the file you are downloading is always the current version (at download time).
Please do not download the client from anywhere else, especially not if they offer some old and outdated client versions only. While there are some trustworthy mirrors around, the safest bet is our own download site as mentioned, as an older client will not help you in any way at all, as at some point it will merely download a full client install upon patching anyway.
