Hello Everyone.
I am looking for a family-friendly corporation I can grow with. I cannot say for sure, at this point, what I want to do ingame as I am still getting my bearings. Which leads me to believe I need a genaral purpose corporation to help, but more importantly to bond and grow with. I like mission runs, occational mining and could be interested in manufacturing (building ships). I'm intimidated by PvP, but that doensn't mean it isn't out of the question either.
In the interest of disclosure, My wife and I are expecting our second son at the end of this month (our first is 2). This is the reason I need to find a corporation that is family-friendly.
In reading some forums, joining a corp. is a bit intimidating also. But, I know if I want to enjoy the depth EVE has to offer, being a part of a corporation is central in that experience (or so I have read).
I have a list of possible corps now - but wanted to put my family-oriented corp. request out there to see if this are corps like this.

Hi Rockinan,
Intaki Armaments mines and builds everything T1 and T2 as well as T3 ships. We also run missions, explore worm holes and complexes and do PVP. Our members can choose to participate in whatever interests them. We have members who do nothing but PVP and members who do no PVP at all and those who started out not doing PVP that are now learning and trying it out.
We are a corp with a mature style and many of our members have families and Children (and grandchildren!). We are a tight group, even though we have a large number of members. We are in all timezones so any time you want to play, there is a friend on to do things with. We are an honorable corp and help new players gain the skills and isk they need to have a great time in eve!

Hi Rockinan,
From what you say you are looking for in a corporation, it seems that you may be suited to a corp I know, Unholy Asylum. They engage in a wide range of activities, with the primary motives being fun and a bit of profit :) Industry, mining, exploration and (occasionally) a little PvP are all in a day's work.
It's made up of players from Europe, Australia and the US, all with different experiences and skills, and there is no commitment required. The corp is very family friendly.
You can join the public channel Asylum Lounge to meet the guys, and if you like what you see, I have a feeling you will be welcomed heartily to the corp.

You may wan't to check us out over at Roids Of War. We are a small mining/industry and mission running corp, full of friendly, laid back gamers in both the UK and US. As a result someone will probably be online when you are also, however this cannot be guaranteed as we all have real life commitments.

Divinity Within is a very family and casual gaming friendly corporation. In fact, that's part of the reason why we are recruiting at the moment. 
But we are no mining and industry corp. While we occasionally do such things, we are more geared towards PvP and industrial efforts are meant to finance PvP in the end. Don't worry though, we are no PvP junkies.  E.g. one of our members is busy with T2 production atm. Generally we do a bit of everything, depending on our moot and on what we think might be fun to do.

Congratulations then to you and your wife for the soon to be happy addition to your family! As you are searching for a corp that does missioning (and would help you in that regard as well by doing missions together with you) I would like to recommend the Black Thorne Corporation to you. We'd be glad to take a pvp virgin under our wing. We're very family friendly (EVER is a freaking video game, after all). However, we're also fairly morally agnostic (in game). If piracy doesn't bother you, check our thread and look me up in game.
