I haven't seen any posts on this after a quick scan of topics, so I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem.
When I first start up the client, I cannot create or reply to mail. The window opens with a label at the top (like "New Message") but there's nothing in the window itself. Somewhere between five and ten minutes after logging in, it seems to work okay until I log off.
Even if I log right back in, it seems to lag again.
Anyone else?

bump..... 1.0.3?
Roll-back? Redesign and release using a commercial POP3 solution instead of failing proprietary system?
Who wants 15-25 years of POP3 and email client evolution?

Ditto. While I'm sure there's a semi-good reason they did it this way, I can't stress how annoying it is not to be able to just one-off message someone that's offline. And that's just little old me. I can't imagine how angry someone in a corp leadership role must be.
Hopefully they'll get this ironed out quickly.

Oh they have a "solution" for that too, you'll just have to login to a space themed blackscreened social network from your work computer lol!
So is this mail lag only for some people? Surely it's a large issue if every single evemail takes 10minutes to open.

We have been trying to figure out why this happens for some people. We have been trying to repro this but not been able to. It would really help if you could send detailed bug reports (with logs and screenshots).
It would also help if you could answer these questions for me: - does this happen for all your characters? - does it only take forever the first time you compose/reply to a mail after logging in? - if you log in, open people & places (on buddies tab), wait a bit, then open the mail and try to compose a mail does it take the message window forever to appear?

We believe we have identified and fixed an issue related to evemail lag. Hopefully this will be deployed in the next few days.

It's not just mail.. its anything that has a large amount of data (in list format) that causes an insane amount of lag... both PC and Mac Clients.
It seems to lessen after its loaded but not completely. ========================= CEO of Shadow Cadre http://www.shadowcadre.com ========================= |
