There has been an influx of individuals flying high damage Minmatar ships (720s, etc) in the areas I frequent most. Assuming I can fly anything Gallente with the exception of BS that only fit large blasters, what would be your ship and fitting of choice in small gangs (<15) and solo to keep your survivability as high as possible and hopefully outlast a target or two?
What are your tactics fighting against Minmatar ships in general? What would you like to have on your ship to beat these fits?
I know that one option is heavily tanked RR BS, what are the other options?

If I *had* to fight minnie cruisers/battlecuisers in a particular gallente boat I would go with a neutdomi. Pure thoerycraft though, never tried it.

Do you include the neuts just as a matter of course? I would think that the capless advantage of the Minmatar would make neuts pretty useless.

Edited by: Professor Villinghopper on 11/12/2009 01:49:28 Neut still shuts off their MWD/AB, then, they don't go so fast and lose the thing that makes Minmatar ships so nice.

I fly a typhoon with torps and neuts, target painters, berserker II's, light tank with some damage and a speed mod. Goes 1000km/s and does a lot of damage.

that's one fast chicken :)
as for OP, you might want to try some ewar. ecm, tracking disruptors and/or remote damps can mess up good.

nuets are not useless against minmatar. Yes, they can continue to put dps on you even if there cap is gone, but if you can shutdown there propulsion mods, that is a big help. But more then that, it gives you a chance to disengage by shutting down their points. Nothing beats that. I've gotten out of sticky situations like that. But really, you need tank and gank. Jammers are prob the best though. Just make it so they can't put that high dps on you at all and you are set.
