I agree.
Live dev blogs were great and wonderful. They were a great tool to put a human face on CCP.
I have argued for live dev blogs to return on my blog.
They are doing a live "thing" on X-fire tonight. But I think the fact it requires Xfire is just a pile of ****.

If the devs are allowing some finite amount of interaction with the playerbase I'd much rather see another Q&A forum thread like the last year's with CCP Zulupark. Infinitely more informative and useful. |

well my point is that they told us it would be once a month, or every 5 weeks? and they never said other wise! they just stopped while still promising they would do them when they got back form vacation.

Wasn't the emphasis on Vioxx and whatnot? Why the sudden push with X-Fire?

I do see your point.
I'm just saying that the live devblog format had left much to be desired. In addition to producing very little useful game info the live interaction aspect was too limited in both participation and allotted time to provide any kind of "human face" benefits.
And that's why I don't miss it; and would rather have measured and quotable responses from a CCP manager for an almost unlimited number of question. |

Oh hellz yeah! I remember the thread and enjoying every single response from CCP on there. It was so freaking awesome seeing dozens of questions answered in a single thread, and I would absolutely LOVE to have that back again!

That was an amazing thread. Zulupark posts promising to answer any and all questions...threadnaught of questions results, and, astonishingly, a threadnaught of answers follows!
Much better than a live devchat with no chance to provide an even half-way considered answer.
