I was thinking of bouncing around Wormhole Space and out into some random 0.0
I was wondering if I can solo BS Rat Spawns in 0.0 with say a Manticore or a Nemesis?
Or should I just skip that and go with a BC or BS. |

yeah.. you can take smaller bs spawns in 0.0 with an sb with care... cool little ship really. 2 or 3 in a team. then you can really have fun :)

NO!
SB are made of wet tissue and die as soon as NPC's get a lock on you.

Yes, especially since a battlecruiser can speed tank the npc BSs...

I speed tank NPC BS's in a bomber all the time - it's not a problem unless there are lot's or frig spawns there too. Fit Ab not MWD though.

Yes, you can definitely solo 0.0 rats in a SB. I do it all the time. You can fit either an AB or an MWD, but if you're in 0.0 an MWD is almost a requirement (getting through camped gates and all). Plex MWDs only give you a small sig radius boost, so that's a plus even if you decide you need to turn on your propulsion. You can comfortably fire at least 2 salvoes before you get targeted by the rats, sp before that you cloak up, uncloak, rinse and repeat until the rats are dead.

I tried a bomber for 0.0 ratting. It was quite tricky not having a mentionable tank, but worked .. a while until I managed to drop my transversal too much while being in optimal of some cruisers that were with the bs. One critical and another hit made me dump that idea together with the ship  .
Your best bet are BC or HAC imo. BS are a bit slow and bulky.

...which is why you get rid of the smaller rat ships first, then focus on the BSs.
