Nice. Good luck with your endeavors...
I'm kind of curious though - assuming OP plans to quit forever, why would anyone bother to sell their last character for ISK?
A) Where do you keep the billions of ISK when your character is gone, and to what purpose? I suppose people could donate it to a corporation or cause they believe in, but are people really that altruistic?
B) Why not just keep the character, stay inactive, and horde RP points, just in case? Isn't that easier than going to the trouble of auctioning the character?
I could easily understand it if you could trade the char/ISK for something outside of the game, but this is against EULA. (though I'm sure plenty of people do it anyway...)

Fair question. The isk is going to my old corp mates from GAME. They put up with me for nearly a year, and deserve it.
It was a good attempt though.

Wasn't accusing you or anything....
I guess its just because we see people sell their last character all the time...and I never quite got the concept.
Strikes me a bit like that scene in "Gangs of New York" where Bill the Butcher barters with and buys a sentimental locket from a condemned man seconds from being hung - and the guy decided to sell it. Its dark comedy, because - why bother, when you can't take the cash with you...
I suppose some people do it to insure they never come back, others just give it all away...
I just figure that if I got tired of the game I'd just let it hibernate for several years, like Rip Van.
But different strokes for different folks...

You'll be back and then you'll kick yourself because you sold your character.
Originally by: Jim Raynor EVE needs danger, EVE needs risks, EVE needs combat, even piracy, without these things, the game stagnates to a trivial game centering around bloating your wallet with no purpose. |
