Myself I can't wait for the tech II WCS' then pirates will actually have to work hard to bring me down and not just sit at a gate with their lawnmowers of doom.

Seems fine to me.
what ur hoping the bs with 8 wcs will land 1k from u and u have enough time to lock him before he gets away. lol give me a break.
like bob said it takes time to fly over to the person before he gets of to warp. and cause of the target spawning 30k from u dont help. and whats the chance all ur frigs will get a scram on in time.
i like the percentage idea or the increase in fitting requirments.

that someone can stuff there low slots with these and always get away.
Yea..some"one" can get away, not everybody stacks them up, as you sacrifice low slots & those that do obviously dont wish to be caught & blown up by you campers or are just running through a blockade carrying something valuble or even just spying for something, just because a few people who wish to do this & avoid conflict doesnt mean get out the nerf bat.

Read the thread again, I posted several viable ships for this purpose.
I didn't say it was failsafe but WHY SHOULD ANYTHING BE FAILSAFE?
8 warp cores ARE NOT failsafe, when he warps in to a mobile warp disruptor you will have him webbed and scrambled within 10 seconds if you have any idea of how to camp.

I think the problem here is the quantity of gankers who are upset that some of their targets get away from them. The reality is, if you don't suck, for every one that gets away, there will be one that won't. I spend every moment of my online time doing ganks at a gate right now, yeah its frustrating when they get away, but is it really that big of a deal? Perhaps not everyone wants to play CS in space and fight every single person who steps out of empire. Perhaps some people want to go about their business and do their own thing. If you don't suck, you can disrupt this process sometimes. Perhaps, some people don't want to risk their hundred million isk battleship fighting pirates that would flee at the first sign of a fair fight. Why would they?
You call yourselves the wolves that pray upon the sheep, time to start acting like it and stop crying about your failings on the boards. If they run your gank-camp, then they prepared for it, and you failed to adequately prepare. The win is theirs. Learn to deal with it, just like you tell them after you destroy their months of hard work. Deal with it, you were outwitted and beaten.
Such is the way of the game.
Learn not to suck.

lol maybe you should learn alittle more about the game before you can speak about anything. if you didnt know that when someone flys into a moblie disruptor, it doesnt matter how many stabs you got it acts like a magnetic and wont let you warp away. oh and yeh im going to carry a moblie disruptor with me everywhere i go in my frig and cruiser killing something right. get a clue will you. the day anyone takes pvp advice from a mining corp is the day i laugh myself to death. bob slap this little twit a few times will you.
oh btw camping is boring. i unlike you go look for kills Riddari.

Edited by: Raven Norsca on 18/11/2004 19:48:16 the problem with WCS isn't the mod it'self. it's the knowledge that you need them.
Gate camping has become so predicatable over time. your going through low sec space, you KNOW a gate somewhere will be camped so you plan on it.
months and months back gate camping wasn't done by everyone with a few buddies and a PVP mindset.
So as all you gatecampers sit here and whine just think of one thing. it's your own fault people rig they're ships up the way they do, if you where a bit more diverse in your methods of killing people perhaps everyone wouldn't rig up the way they do
and a after thought. if someone totally dedicates a ship to running through your blockade than why does the module need to be nerfed? it shouldn't be a simple. point, click, warp scramble, fire situation as you'd like to have it :)

gate camp lol. i havent gate camp for omfg per castor. people who use wcs where ever they go and you have a small groupp wanting to go kill something but with them having maxed low slots with them plus using the mwd expliot warping of to the next gate like a frig when they in bs's is the problem.

1 wcs = -25% cap and -25% to mwd speed, then if you want more than 1 you will get more penalty :) so if you want more than 1 its np, but you cant stack 8 because then cap will be at 0 :)

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 18/11/2004 20:51:55 I like the cap and MWD penalties, but I think a penalty to warp speed would be great as well, or just instead of the other ones. That way if you run off the enemy has more time to catch up to you, the energy that would normally be going to propulsion is going to secure the field so you cannot be scrambled
You might get away once or twice, but eventually if you arent careful and keep stupidly going to gates the 1 au/second speed will allow the enemy to catch up

Pirates with a 100% kill rate equals no pirating~
You have to think about it for a second. If I can walk over coals and maybe live without injury i might do it. If I walk over lava i die instantly and i never do it.
When people are alphabeta searching their possibilities as long as their is the hope that they might live then they might brave the pirates. However if every indy driver is dead certain he dies if he passes a pirated gate then you dont see said indy driver cause he knows he will die if he passes the gate.
Indy driver might as well just self destruct as soon as he leaves station. Both scenarios have the same outcome but indy driver saves alot of time.
More ways to stop people from fleeing == more cautious citizens and less pirating. That is if I have 0 chance of surviving if your on the other side of the gate then I can justify going really slow and carefully. On the other hand if i have a 50% chance then i might just get lazy and go balls giving you the pirate and opportunity.
I hope you have your change and ill laugh when all you ever see is blobs, making you just another alliance fighter instead of a pirate, and you never see the lone indy.

Hey Redon!
You have no clue and are lazy.
Why I've been sitting here for 15 solid days now by the Mobile Warp Disruptor I have and so far gotten nothing! But no one instajumped past me either! Maybe I should find a traffic system?
I think your excuse is pathetic, a frigate can carry a small Mobile Disruptor in it's cargo hold.
DO THAT and don't whine about people using modules which a Mobile Disruptor counters.
Modules vs Modules, that's how EVE works. Adapt or die.
