Ok, I can understand spreading combat missions out to other nearby systems when the system is very busy, but I run missions in systems with 8-10 people in them and get sent to a nearby system almost every time. And if I run a mission for an agent in a nearby system, I'm as likely as not to get sent back to my original system for the encounter.
Its just a waste of time flying in and out of other systems for combat encounters, especially when the system is NOT busy. I've been playing for about 2 years and can say that wasting my game time flying from place-to-place is the biggest drawback of Eve for me right now.
Give priority to the current system for combat encounters, unless for some reason the system is very busy.
Anyone else want to lessen the old warp-to-jump-warp-to waste of game play time some?

Not that EVE is anything like reality, but when the police go to catch a criminal they don't demand he wait in the police station lobby. 15 sec align time, 30 sec warp time, 10 sec jump, 15 sec align, 30 sec warp. Thats what? Not even 1 3/4 minutes total. And you're in a good mission for an hour plus? Jumping to another system is fine. Let's say you're a mission running *****, you do 4 level 4's a day. Thats (including going back to the home station) 3 minutes a mission. Times 4, thats twelve minutes travel time over a span of 4 plus hours. Thats a 1:20 ratio of travel to mission time. Let's say also on average that you make ~15m a mission. I'll gladly travel twelve minutes over the span of 4 hours to make 60m.

No, not really.

No, I like the fact i can talk to low sec agents and get missions in nearby hi-sec that pay out 3 times as much as those mission hub agents.

I certainly agree with you! Most combat missions should remain in system with agent (notice I said "MOST", certainly you could have a few exceptions and be rewarded for the jumps with higher LP, difficulty, etc.).
