Jetison and anchor a mine which looks like an asteroid. While anchoring in high-sec your action may be discovered with the same chance as drug-transports (or other illegal stuff) f.e.
Ore-Mines are like big bombs, which explode while being mined.
it's a funny idea I think with tactical options

So aside from being a griefing tool that clutters the grid and cause server lag, what's the goal behind it? :\
Miners really do have enough crap to worry about as is without adding a griefing tool directed specifically towards them. - - - Aloriana Jacques - Skill Sheet

You're right. Missed the point that you may anchor a billion ORE-mines then.
- Border it won't be a salvation cause of alts or many players.
Salvation would be that you may need to stay, till someone tries to mine the roid. You may hide with cloaking device wait patient for a victim. While it detonates Concord appears and you have to wait till they are gone.
basic idea was to interfere macro-miner-program-logic
there are thousand ways that don't interfere macro-miner-program-logic. We only need one which succeeds.

I like the intent to mass with macro miners, to avoid them being used to greif real players how would they be able to tell them apart?
Also what if they hit another players items like a anchored can or ship as they would have to have at least a 20KM bast radius to get barges operating with Orca/requal command links?
I could set up a group in a mission area use a alt in a tanked battleship or other ship with cheap mining drones to trigger them then a player is within range in attempt to kill them and loot them without taking a standing hit or lossing my ship to a Concord gank squad.
There is a reason bombs are banned from hi sec, the old mines had a similar problem.
Then detonated the lunching player is flagged as if they had attacked the victim directly. If they were in hi sec, they would get a visit from Concord. Unless this is removed the launching character will loss the ship. If say they are docked at the time they have saved their ship from concord, escaping Concord is considered an exploit and results in an account ban.
So either concord do not respond to these ore-mines and they can be exploited or at some point later then they are triggered you either loss your ship to a Concord gank squad or you get banned for avoiding the Concord gank squad. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

Now that is a good idea, 'commonly declined ideas'! ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.
Nobody round here is offering the second one therefore your choices are limited! |
