I didn't realize there were contraband modules. The only thing I ever picked up as contraband from a tutorial mission was some kind of drug. In my limited experience, if you don't have to transition gates, you have a pretty good chance of getting it into a station and selling it. Neut the bastards |

It isn't Concord that bother with Contraband it is the faction police. They will scan your ship and if they find Contraband will offer you the option of a fine with a faction standing hit. If you try to run, you actually have a good chance of getting away, unlike Concord your ship loss isn't guaranteed. What the faction hit you take for running is I don't know.
The only contraband that I'm aware of is for drugs/boosters and some dog tags I believe. If you have a contraband module, I suspect that is just the name of the thing, but not sure. If it is contraband, it will say on the Show Info where it is illegal (which faction space) and the consequences of being caught there with it. |

I don't know of any moduels that are contraband....
The most common contraband are "drugs" like blue pill, crash, etc.... There are a few other items (drugs and dog tags ahve already been mentioned) too. If you get caught with them while flying in space, it's easy to take a significant hit to your wallet (as well as standings). There have been more than one tale of people losing 100's of millions of isk in contraband fines.

Is the knave worth hanging onto or should I haul it to Jita with the rest of my junk? A "knave", short for "Small 'Knave' Energy Drain" is a type of nosferatu. It fits in a high slot and steals energy from the ship it's activated on if that ship has more cap than you do. It can be quite helpful for tackling if your ship can fit it, but on an Incursus you have to sacrifice a gun to fit it (since you can fit exactly as many guns as you have high slots). It's more useful on a Rifter or Punisher, which have an extra high slot on top of their guns.
Up to you to decide whether you use the nos or not. Rifterlings - Small gang lowsec combat corp specializing in frigates and cruisers (all races, not just Rifters!). All contraband has an extra info tab describing the legality and punishments.
If it doesn't have this tab, then it isn't contraband. |

Nos's are pretty useless in most situations, better to fit a neutraliser. |
