Just a bit of advice: When doing the level 4 "deadspace" missions for the first time, scout the terrain before engaging the enemy with your primary ship. And ignore the "warp in at 60 km" option for them, it's a cosmetic bug that will be fixed soon, the warp-in spot is always the same (or should be anyway). Most of the level 4 deadspace missions are not intended for soloers or kiters. Try them at your own risk :).
Edit: To alleviate a bit of confusion surrounding the term 'deadspace mission', it refers to the missions which use the deadspace complex system. They will always have a deadspace bookmark in the journal under the objectives. Most of the current missions out there now are not deadspace, but they all will become that way in the coming weeks/months. The changes to the encounters will not be so dramatic at first, but will become so gradually as the more complex missions recieve their deadspace equivalent.

So from broken deadspace missions up to the final day of testing we will see a progression to nothing but deadspace missions within weeks, effectively reducing people's tactical options to zero without any kind of adequate testing beforehand.
I'm no longer baffled. I'm simply beyond caring.

Damage output was the thing I was failing in on shiva, but im sure with my proper setup on tq I could do the lvl 4 missions. They're nothing compared to sentries ^_^ I did find however that when you take the long range approach to the npcs, especially if they're angels and you have to mwd to keep out of web range etc, then the npcs will end up a good 300km away from you and the warp in point, which is never good :/ ..:: Electro-shock therapy ::..

The deadspace missions are actually required to be tested before they are allowed on to Tranquility. The deadspace missions you see on the Singularity server do not neccessarily work on Tranquility, as they need to be enabled for Tranq by a tester. So they should be adequately tested before going live. Although of course our testing department is only human so they can make mistakes ...
About the tactical options, not all of the deadspace missions will be the same. There are differences in the encounters, which give you the option of using different tactics. We do not want to erase 'kiting' or a long range setup completely, but we do want many of the highest level missions to be pretty much 'solo kiter' proof.
