Had some spare Thorax prints so I said what the hell throw them up without decryptors.
(Normally I use decryptors for all my cruiser invention attempts.)
I put up in contracts....They aren't moving.
So I do some research
Run the numbers for T2 composites.....
162.35 million in composites for 1 run of ME -4 Phobos.
Phobos is going on the market 151 million.
-32 million isk difference.
You couldn't give away a ME -4 Phobos print and build it to make a profit.
Should I bother keeping these prints or should I trash them?

If you don't want to put them in the back corner of the hangar and wait until they're profitable again, then send them to me - I'll put them with some of the other stuff I've got stashed for the future. ______________________ Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University. |

Such are the less popular t2 ships, the old pre dominion ships are taking longer to get off the market and come on at new prices....
you are using buy orders right, i know stupid question but some people dont.

I'm sitting on my T2 ship BPC's also. What's the point in manufacturing them?
Until the Alliances and CCP make up their mind what they want to do with this game we can all scratch our fundamental orifices and go ratting or whatever else suits our fancy.......

Its all quite worrying really. If CCP intended t2 ship price to increase by about 50% then let me be the first to congratulate them on achieving their objective.
I suspect they did not intend this however, and despite people like Akita T making it very clear that this would happen, they still went ahead and did it.
It baffles me to this day that ccp would deliberately change the critical t2 material from something found in all 0.0 regions to one only found in the north. I have to reluctantly conclude that they just dont know their game anymore.
My advice would be, just dont bother buying t2 ships at the moment. Perhaps even more importantly, dont buy t2 components at all. All you will be doing is making already mega-rich players vastly richer. Just dont do it, I know i wont.
If you think the -4 ME prints are bad, check out the 9 run -6 ME variants.

Do your research before inventing/manufacturing.
Other than that, it's NEVER worth trashing something, so send me a mail, I might buy them from you.

As I peruse the contracts and see this or that T2 ship for around the pre-Dominion price, I'll check the current market value and sure enough, 25-35% higher. Then I "invest" in the ship and stash it.
I can't see any reason that T2 ships will not continue to increase in price in the foreseeable future.
Not a hugh amount of Isk, but a bit of a bandage since small-time manufacturing (e.g. myself) is at a standstill.

I highly doubt that -4 ME T2 BPCs are useless.
It is simply that, at this moment in time, the market for T2 components is, to put it mildly, slightly out of sync with ship prices, or the other way around.
Time will tell as to which is which. In the meantime, save those prints. Imbalances have a way of going the other direction REAL faaaast.

I bet if it had a T2 BPO it would be profitable to invent.

No, don't bother. You'll always be on the short end of the stick on that one.
Save your pennies and get a T2 BPO.

Yeah they are.
There would need to be an extreme shortage of whatever ship you are making to get a profitable build from a -4 BPC.
I mean, its like trying to manufacture with Production Efficiency II instead of V. Yes, you might find a market for your overpriced goods in some corner of the galaxy, but nearly anybody would be able to undercut you - and still profit, where you are still losing ISK on each unit.

So you invent stuff without analysis? Big surprise: Lots of stuff isn't profitable. Perhaps you should stick to t1.

Yeah, if only CCP would remove the T2 BPO's these would probably be profitable.
Oh wait.
