Originally by: Maximilian Black If you want to mine during HG2, fleet with friends in battleships and have them escort you. The whole point of suicide ganking is for them to get your dropped loot without having to take on a ship with BFGs. A ganker is less likely to bother you if there is a lot of hostile firepower pointed at them... it's much easier to warp elsewhere and find a lone miner.
BTW, "carebear" and "tears" is sooooo early 2000's.
This is incorrect. We already turn a profit just by having our own ship concorded. If we get loot and salvage, thats a bonus. Having battleships in the belt is inconsequential. |

That raises a good question, why doesn't your insurance get forfeited when you get destroyed by Concord? Seems pretty logical to me.
You committed a crime of some sort to have that happen. It should go to the Concord Police bit bucket. |

A few million less on modules wont make much difference on a ship that costs 200M.
Escorting a hulk with BS is a waste of ships, then just go run lvl 4 missions and reprocess loot. Go to 0.0 and mine there works.

If you want some lols do this:
If you can fly a hulk and a friend can fly an orca... Go to a belt and start mining. Then get your friend in the orca and have them cloak above you. Wait for someone to gank you. When they do just store your ship in the orca real quick and then wait for concord to blow up the gankers

I don't expect you to understand the following because it's beyond your tunnel-vision pro-ganker FPS style of play, but there is a difference between CONCORD insurance expecting your ship to be blown up due to combat and deliberately suiciding it BY CONCORD itself, nonetheless.

Here is a trick. Pick a spot that is within 5K of the edge of the belt with a clear path to a warp point. Drop a can with just 1 throw away item in it. Bench mark that can. Then orbit the can. On your Overview, have the warp point chosen so that all you need to do is click Warp To.
This keeps you moving at full speed and allows you to nearly instant warp to the point. Since you are at or near full speed, you warp as soon as the nose of your ship is pointed in the basic direction.
This also makes it near impossible to be warped bumped.
