Ok, here is a good question for T3 uses... in low sec/null sec gank warfare...
Does the Warfare Link sub work (eg the bonuses) if you are in system, undocked, in a leadership position AND cloaked with the Covert Ops? and if not - that is lame, IF so, would a cloaky-leader booster be an advisable role?
Ok, flame-on!

Since you can't activate any modules whilst cloaked, I would lean towards no.
However, you can make an unprobable T3 with ganglinks. (Hint: fit it until sensor strength is GREATER than the sig radius)

*facepalms and picks up noobie-cap with plummeting IQ-o-meter on it and sits in corner* - D'OH!!!... that's right... ugh!
...um... explain, unprobable... SEN STR > SIG RES ... hmmm... input, No. 5 needs input, how would I do that exactly? that doesn't seem possible.

One of the T3 subs has a bonus to sensor strength, plus there are implants for sensor strength (Jackal for Minmatar, don't know the others). _________

Don't need implants, just use 2 ECCM and a couple sensor backup arrays in lows. Can get an afk unprobable booster with 3 ganglinks, mwd and a covert ops cloak on it.

I am missing how Sen Str > Sig Res = un probe able ship? I guess I am missing something about the mechanics of scanning and or how ECCM relates to some one trying to probe your ship while it's in a safe-spot... can you fill me in on how the mech works here...???

That's simply how game mechanics work. Your sig res is how 'visible' you are in space, and for some reason CCP decided you can counteract this (for probability purposes) by your sensor strength. _______________________________________________

Edited by: Marko Riva on 14/01/2010 10:51:28 Probing depends on the sig radius and sensor strength of the target (apart from skills obviously), the result is that a ship that has more sensor strength than 1.08 x it's sig radius is impossible to probe for, the prober simply won't get a 100% hit. And that's with full skills, implants, T2 rigs and whatnot... something you won't see every day/at all.
ECCM modules (both mid as low slot) increase your sensor strength, there's also some implants for it and T3 has a specific sub system that (amongst other things) increases sensor strength massively. There's some ships that can easily get unprobable (covert ops frigs, they don't need their midslots really anyway) but a fully fitted&functional gang link booster needs too many slots to make it easy. Hence using the ECCM sub system on a T3, adding the low grade sensor strength implants makes for an easier/better fit on your ship as well.

So if I put say 2x T2 ECCM and 2-3x ECCM boosters on my Legion with it's sub 140 sig, and that would I think put it in the ballpark, and or added a few other/more until it was 1.08 over 140 I would be able to warp into a safe spot and be completely uncloaked but also undetectable by probes?
Hmmmm... wubt wouldn't just moving from time to time in the system from spot to spot do the same thing?

Your gang links are deactivated during warp so your gang mates wont thank you for the erratic loss of bonuses.
Also to be safe from probers you would need to be warping every few seconds so in reality you wont be boosting the fleet much.
