Hi! I had a few months away from eve recently, and i made a return yesterday
I honestly thought i was playing a different game............and not for the good.
Ok we have had a few changes to the game with expansions etc, but i honestly cannot see what i liked about eve when i used to play it often (i used to spend 8hrs+ daily)
It seems like things are not as social now, perhaps it the rise of the macro miners, but i felt that no one seems to be as chatty anymore, the places in space i used to roam are empty I have realised just how boring missions are! Even chat in recruitment/jita local has slowed down to a pace you can actually read.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me,
Also i am looking for entertainment - so i went on a 0.0 solo roam and it was honestly pathetic - encountered either 29582984 ships or nobody!
How do people have fun nowadays?

afaik, many macrominers have been banned. This doesnt mean the macro problem is gone, but im sure there are around a 80% less of them. "No news means good news" and people's complaining about macros is gone for some months so far.
EVE population is growing. Some systems have now twice its earlier "habitants" for example I know of a certain system that used to have 40 locals and now its never below 100. The lulz factor is that "macro-friendly-systems" aka ice fields and places with a huge number of belts, have now less populations.
This also may explain the lesser spam in Jita
The antisocial issue happens since the beginning. I find that Caldari/Amarr players are less social than Minmatar/Gallente, still not sure if this has some scientific explanation or even if its true or just that I got a weird random experience.

When you say "a few months" do you mean like 40 months? EvE hasn't really changed in a while, except for some of the features...

Stay out of high-sec.
I chat to loads of people. Well, chat AT loads of people mostly. My travels around lowsec and into nullsec have entertained me greatly. I still don't know any Russian though. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

Seems like that 11% tax rate hasn't worked then.
