I used to see so many in gallente/caldari areas... but the amarr/minmitar (bleak lands) seem to be lacking somewhat. There's a few that live in Amamake... but otherwise not much at all. E.G. Kamela/Kourmonen/Huola.
Just wondering if there is any reason for this? Pirate input?

Cause lowsec piracy isn't FW piracy and people looking for lowsec piracy who tested FW piracy have realized FW piracy isn't like lowsec piracy and gone back to lowsec piracy. |

There are plenty of pirates on the amarr/minnie front. WOLFY and F1NAL seem to have taken up residence in heimatar and there's always the weirdy russian dudes who hang out in the bleak lands. There's another big pirate corp hanging out in huola recently too. The name escapes me but they are usually camping the otelen gate when i jump through. ---------- Sig Page 1 Snipah YOU CANT MINE SO YOU KILL |

to be fair wolfy are ex gal-FW (and a missed adversary, well until i left FW XD) i have to agree that there always seems to be more pirates active on the gal-cal front this may be down to the fact that caldari FCs used to go after pirates if there were no gals around not sure if this still stands but would explain why pirates are more active, good fights etc

you can poke the amamake pirates/bosborger (wolfy, final etc), random russians around the gratesier -> kurnianen pipe, dark solar is in theory in sahtogas but those guys just troll sahto running level 5s and never roam and there arent many online, a few TFS in huola like to pounce on the otelen gate, dead terrorists used to be/still are? in egghelende (spelling), random pirate corps in metro from hofjalgund -> to hek "I long for death, not because I seek peace, but because I seek the war eternal" |

WOLFY are indeed pirating amamake these days, ex FW or no. F1NAL are active as ever comprising of a lot of old heretics and others, AoS are involved in ama too. In Huola we have the recently "standings reset" TFS and up in metro there's the Gemeinschaft whaddya m'callit's.
IDK exactly where the OP has been looking or if it's just a TZ thing but I'd say the pirates are just as active as ever and cetainly as far as F!NAL, WOLFY and AoS are concerned, minmatar militia have been having plenty of scraps with them. --------------------------------------------

For 2 months in a row, final had been the most killing corp in EVE (that would be the 2 months it has existed), and if you havent noticed us, you definately have been ignorant. We fight minmatar militia daily and they talk about us daily in militia chat. Please re-size your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels with a maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Edited by: Lana Torrin on 15/01/2010 00:34:56 As a small note, a gang on 4 or 5 pirates usually wont engage a 20 or 30 man FW blob.. Blob less, have more fun.
(Also, to any pirate gangs that wont engage a 20 or 30 man blob.. Just get some cheap ships and do it.. 2:1 kill:death is better than no targets, and FW blobs are usually fail when you hit them with a well organized group.. I could post stories, but that not gona happen in this thread)
edit: Typo that just made no sense.

If you think gatecamp is all we do, we prob have to... Gatecamps are maybe fun once a week for an hour or 2 but personally I like the fights against FW where we are outnumbered by far and come out on top better. i wasnt saying WOLFY haven't gone pirate just that its hardly surprising they choose to pirate in FW land given its an area they are used to :P

Yes, they blob too like all. But they are fun to fight and mostly fun to yammer with in local.
I think they are scoring huge, because for a while amamake was rather safish and people started to transit the oss/amamake gate like it was hi-sec. Now there is a larger pirate presence in the area.
The care-free travel is changing obviously
They have their minny militia toon Yendaj who gives them our chat for some odd reason and that guy also finds likely targets in abudban and other spots for the final guys to go climb into hi-sec and gank.
Basically, it is a fun place to be...until someone whips out a carrier. j/k

kind of hard to talk about being outnumbered when you fly with AoS(45pilots) and Wrath of Frenris(74pilots) and you yourself have 106 pilots. Numbers are a little on your side there.
Don't get me wrong those that I fly with and myself still enjoy scrapping with you, we just know that we will always be outnumbered. Set some reds and Ama would really be interesting

i watched Yendaj/Mirror form up a militia fleets and fleetwarp them into an ambush the other day.
i lol'd
but yes, posting to confirm that TFS, Hydra, Final, AoS, WOLFY, No Mercy, Jerk Cartel and other pirate corps regularly fly around in the auga amamake area. i guess they stay there cause it's easier for all of us... we both get regular fights against good opponents (despite all the smacking about blobs and such), it's close to Rens and the abudban ice fields are 2 jumps away

Ha ha, I shouldn't be laughing but I am
Despite a few exceptions on either side of FW/F1NAL et al who like to moan and chest beat, I'll wager the majority on both sides are fairly happy with our "relationship". We fight, we smack a bit, but when all is said and done, we appreciate the fun to be had, long may it continue i say. --------------------------------------------

Edited by: BeachParty on 18/01/2010 06:03:14 I don't think anyone has seen piracy like it unfolded in Solitude tonight. A 0.0 corp got Pirate backing and pulled a war dec. into Low Security space. As chance would have it, the disenfranchised "Poor Pirate Elements" went "COSCO" on IT alliance in true pirate fashion and meet their 16 Man Armor reaping battle ship gang with a 46 Man Pirate gang comprised with neatly skilled Black Birds, HAC's and BC'sālol. The First wave of IT came through the gate and LOGGED, the most feared alliance in eve. An IT Cyno finally got popped for a hot drop and the fight got called off. The evening ended with a carrier getting ransomed for 3BISK, the ransom was honored. All in a nights work.

I'm new in the area so maybe I wasn't around to see a quantitive difference but there seems to be plenty of pirates running around. Never have I crossed the amamake gate into high sec without seeing a large fleet posted on gate and I've never had the balls to fly anything bigger than a destroyer through said gates!
And militia chat will never once say no to the question of whether the gate is camped.
I lie, I saw it once at 2AM.....on a Thursday.
