I'm getting a bit bored of running L4s and I've been probing out some wormholex and complexes in my Buzzard and I was thinking - would a Harpy have decent enough tank/DPS to run some wormhole plexes if you fit a probe launcher?
Has anyone tried this?
Most of my SP are in missiles and I'm starting to cross train into gunnery so I can fly other races, so would anyone suggest a reasonable Harpy fit that might do what I want?
I could probably fit everything T2 apart from the guns themselves.

You mean soloing WH sites? I would not be uppity over there with anything less than a very well tanked battlecruiser. The easiest sites (Perimeter *) often have Sirius sentries that has godly tracking, superb range (200+ km easy) and quite potent DPS. They hit your weak resist every time... tanking them is often problematic.
Speed tanking might work somewhat but I am no sleeper expert, I don't too much about them. So far, what I taken back from a Class 1 is that you really want to bring friends along.
Sorry, can't help with your Harpy but I suggest you try it out. Warp in at great distance away and be quick on the warp out button. These guys are not normal NPCs

I think it could probably do c1 and c2 wormholes, c3+ probably not unless you get one with effects that benefit small weapons but I doubt it, if its an isk issue l4's might be a better choice unless the boredom really has kicked in and your just after a change regardless.
Also as the above poster has mentioned the sleeper sentries are nasty.

Well, I need to train gunnery for some other things anyway and just fancied giving the wormhole plexes a try for something randomly different for a change :)
What about normal space plexes?

Because I now love the harpy
I would say that normal highsec complexes you can pull off in your harpy, although I'd get a bigger ship for some of them. But if your thinking of WH plexes, I'd highly advice not to take it in a WH without back up of some kind, sleepers are mean and will end your joyride quickly if the locals don't get to you first.
I will have to say, the harpy makes a great fleet ship and if your bored with missions, get on with a 0.0 Alliance. Nothing but solid PVP action for the moment.

Yeah solo harpy is probably a bad idea. I tried to do a class 2 anomaly in my Retribution and it wasn't pretty. Speed tank works good against sleepers in certain situations and I used to do it all the time in the Zealot. But whenever you run up against a sniping BS, a Sirius or if you get a split group of sleepers the range is going to negate any speed tank you have.
Passive Drakes are fairly efficent at running class 1 and 2 anoms, and probably a Brute too if you have mostly gunnery skills, shouldn't take long to train up the Gallente side of things. Plus if you're going in there anyways and you won't have a tower nearby you'll want the extra cargo space and high slot (for a salvager) that the larger ships will afford you.
