I got a couple of questions and here they go:
1. I just bought a Caracal which only purpose is missionhunting, not pvp. I want some tips on a really good setup for killing on long distance with heavy missiles. Please write down the basic items for the setup and if you got the time, write some of the named items which i should replace the basic ones with when i got the isk for it. The only named items i got now is five Malkuth Heavy Missile launchers I. Are they the best on the marketfor heavy missiles?
2. Are there any skills which make you go faster in/out into warp? It would be very nice when you¦re in a bad situation to hit that yellow button and quickly go out of range.
3. Is there some skills which you don¦t first think of that are really good for missionhunting? Except the social ones. One example is long range tracking so you can keep out of distance. I hope you understand what i mean; skills that you¦re not required to have to fly the ship or use the missiles, just skills that help you get better.
4. I want to do missions for either Emperor Family, Brutor Tribe or Sisters of Eve ¦cause they¦re the only corps that give out all implants. But i don¦t think that they have any "killmission"-agents. What kind of agents do they have and what kind of missions do you do? Example; what kind of missions do you do for a Administration, Personnel, Public Relations or Archives-agent?
These are questions that I really want to get some answers to, so please help me!

Edited by: capt on 22/11/2004 16:44:01 1. never flew a caracal so I'm not the right person to advise you on a nice loadout.
2. try some of the navigational skills , they don't exactly make you go in and out of warp faster but improve the overal speed of your ship the cap use of warping ect.. which is always nice.
3. most combat related skills are more or less interesting depending on the loadout you are using at the moment or want to use in the future. But I don't think there are any specific combat related skills that are more interesting for missions...... Back to the social skills, most of them are interesting enough to max them out. Like for example "negotiation", 25% extra income from missions is always interesting if you want to earn a living doing mainly missions.
4. I know brutor has security agents, so plenty of kill missions can be done for those. I have never done any missions for the other corps but if you check in the copr info pages and see some security divisions then you know what agents to look for when you want to do kill missions.

1. Heavy Missile Bays, think of a caracal as a Kestrel on steroids and you can't go wrong. Just stay as far away as you can, maybe a mwd to help you do this :) , if you keep enough distance you shouldn't need to tank any damage but a shield booster or hardener never hurts.
Of course, get to about 5km more than your missiles can go ( heavy with no bonuses 1200 ms for 40 seconds I think so 48 km ) so about 50+ km and "keep at range" so they're missiles if any are having to do alot more distance and will never hit :).
The better missile launchers you use the better but best to try out at beginning with standard so you dont lose alot of isk. oh and ballistics in low slots >:)

Ship agility is the primary stat that detirmins how fast you get to warp. You have to be aligned and you have to get to a certain percentage of your max speed to get to warp. Both are agility stats. Two things modify it a little. Spaceship command (or what ever that skill is called) and an agility implant.
Agility implant is by far the best implant in that line imo. It effects how fast you collect loot, how fast you get to a gate, and how fast you get to warp.

The only named items i got now is five Malkuth Heavy Missile launchers I. Are they the best on the marketfor heavy missiles?
For named launchers the ranking goes thus:
1. Arbalest (best) 2. number thingy (XR-3200 for heavy launchers) 3. Limos 4. Malkuth (worst) ----- Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene 5, Moon 4, Duvolle Laboratories Factory. Ammo at affordable prices. |

For the setup:
Hi Slots: 5x Heavy Missile Launcers loaded with scourges (upgrade to arbalest heavy launchers)
Mid Slots: 1x 100MN AB I (upgrade to 100MN AB II) 2x Cap Recharger Is (upgrade to Cap Recharger IIs) - upgrade not necessary 1x Medium Shield Booster (upgrade to Medium Shield Booster II) or 1x Small Shield Booster II because you will rarely get hit
Lo Slots: 2x Power Diagnostic System Is (uprgrade to Power Diagnostic Systems IIs) - uprgrade also not necessary

I'd kina disagree with the rankings there, because malkuth use so litle scpu (which caracal does'nt have lots to spare) I'd hardly call them the worst, I use them on mine and am totally happy with the quite large cpu saving.

Also getting all malk is much better then a couple arb and a couple normal. The savings on fitting usually helps out in other place. Its cheaper over all and dps is similiar.
Generally when i fit a cruiser i start at malk and dont loose much sleep over everything else. Arb is disportionatly expensive and if your doing a cruiser cause thats all you have then chances are youll be wiser to sell the arbs and pocket the dough.
But malks are totally worth it.

I agree. Arbalests are pretty nice, but for cost efficiency and ease of fitting, Malkuths are great.
I use them in my Caracal all the time, tho I do tend to use XR-3200's in my Raven (for L3 missions).
