Edited by: Whitmoore on 16/01/2010 03:32:45 Hello,
I been hearing a lot about Hulkageddon. I looked into it and got a lot of info about a huge reward for killing Mining Ships.
Now, for the reason of why? This obviously goes beyound a huge reward for killing mining ships. It also seems like people have a extreme hatred towards miners, as they are having a full on war against that aspect of the game.
Can anyone fill me in?

You see, when we were young pod pilots, we got abused by miners so now we are simply extracting revenge.

Yes, I was staring at that type-o when I pressed Reply.
It may of ended, but there was more to it than people were talking about. Macro-Miners being the one thing that stood out as a focus of hatred.

Hmm, a bit late to the table. However, even as a miner I support hulkageddon simply as a community building event.
I don't think it is a hatred toward miners. I think they are trying to enforce the "live hard" nature of eve by taking out those who feel the most safe.
Not getting into any discussions about the ability to 1 v 1 a mining ship in hisec they simply won during hulkageddon so smart miners stayed docked. Escape Velocity |

I seriously doubt any of the hulkageddon targets felt the loss unless they just got into a hulk and wasted their isk savings to buy it. Any other class of mining ship that got blown up was a waste of time as they are all insurable and lulz cheap to replace even without insurance.

I don't even recall saying the targets felt a loss. In fact many of the actual human players docked up or whined on the forums. I just said it was a part of life in eve to get your butt kicked sometimes even if you are a hisec miner.
