I was very exiced with training and seeing actual effect of DED connections in game. (+ 1500 per frat kill per lvl). Only to fount that skill isnt implemented in game (same as astrometricks). Why ? It was bugged/didnt working ? Or simply planed to implemented, but didnt find time to do it ? ------------------------------------------------

No one knows but CCP. There's more stuff in the database that never got seeded, maybe it never will maybe it one day will. As for the skill itself, meh it's only a lousy 7500 isk at level 5 extra. You can easily make that on something else.

It's one of many things that were never implemented, such as salvage drones, though you may well find characters that own the salvage drones operation skillbook.
They're in the database and were probably tested at some point and found to be overpowered or just not a great addition to the game by the devs. ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.
Nobody round here is offering the second one therefore your choices are limited! |

First off, "Astrometrics" is a very important skill, it's readily available, and works fine - it enables use of scan probe launchers, and increases number of probes in space from 4 at L1 to 8 at L5. DED conections, even if it actually existed, it would be an almost pointless skill - a mere 7.5k extra bounty per NPC kill is seriously no big deal at all (you make more than a hundred times more by killing most battleship NPCs), and that training time (yes, even the training time for L4 and its puny 6k extra ISK per kill) could be better used to... do anything else... like, oh, say, train Connections to get access to better mission levels, or train combat skills to handle higher mission levels or nastier NPCs (which give out a lot more ISK).

... and just to top it all off, it has Social V as a requirement.

1. I mean astronautic engeniring, sorry for confusing/misguiding
2. yes, +7500 per ship is totaly uselles for lvl 3/4 missioner, but can be helpful for lvl 1/2 missioner, bu here is lvl 5 stoper (high time consuming), mayby lowering reqs. to social IV, can solve this problem. ------------------------------------------------

That skill was available on the market for a short while, and some might still have it for sale. I have Astronautic Engineering trained to L3 myself (I don't have any L1 nor L2 skills, that's the only reason this currently-useless skill is trained to L3). For that matter, I also have Mobile Refinery Operation to L3, which was made unavailable a lot earlier than the moment I started playing - I found it and bought it from somebody who still had it. They're both what are called "collector's skills" - they have no PRACTICAL use whatsoever (at least currently).
On the other hand, DED connections *WOULD* have a practical use, and it seems CCP has deemed it either unwanted (if the skill actually does what it says it does but is just not seeded) or not worth the bother (if the skill doesn't even do what it says on the box).
Either way, it appears that it was a conscious choice made by CCP to *NOT* introduce it.

Been a while since I've done lvl 1s but isn't 6k extra bounty like 50-100% increase in lvl 1s? Anyway, I've always been like "if it were in the game I'd train it" though I must confess I hadn't looked at the prereq, no way in hell I'm training Social V :)

True - for a very limited time in level 1 missions you'd increase your bounties by 50%+, but you could instead train gunnery skills and kill rats twice as fast and easily get a 50% increase in ISK that's more sustainable into level 2 and beyond. ______________________ Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University. |

You have true - investing same time as training DED invested to connections will give you acces to lvl2 missions which are more profitable than lvl1, and if invested to DPS you can fly these missins much faster. But I still love to have this skill implemented and working (mayby overworked to give % intead of fixed amount). And if it remain unchanged - well, still it will be interesing for skill colectors. ------------------------------------------------
