We used to think a good day was had in RvB if 100 ships were downed during the course of one 24 hour period. Last night saw 120 ships go down in just 2.5 hours, I've got no idea how many were lost during the full 24 hour period.
The first major battle of the evening began at 2136 hrs GMT. 23 Blue pilots with 1 BC, 8 Cruisers, 1 AS, 1 Covops, 4 Destroyers and 8 Frigates, took on 20 Red pilots in 1 BC, 8 Cruisers, 1 AS, 2 Destroyers, 7 Frigates and a noobship. The result was a close win for Blue taking down 19 Red for 12 Blue.

The rally call went out to both corps and the second battle began at 2239hrs. 27 Blue pilots with 13 Cruisers, 2 Destroyers and 12 Frigates, took on 29 Red pilots, in 2 BCs, 14 Cruisers, 4 Destroyers and 9 Frigates. Although the length of the battle saw several pilots reship and get back into the fight for a second go including a Blue BC. The result a clear win for Blue with 15 losses to 32 kills.

Expecting a mass logoffski, many Blue pilots started the victory party early and it was with a shock that Red came back for round three at 2330 hrs GMT. A much weakened force of 15 Blue pilots with 5 Cruisers, 2 Destroyers and 8 Frigates, took on 22 Red pilots, in 3 BCs, 12 Cruisers, 2 Destroyers and 5 Frigates. The result was a 13 Blue loss for 7 Red hammering.

Yet still there was more to come and the final major battle of the night took place on the stroke of midnight GMT. 18 Blue pilots with 2 BCs, 7 Cruisers, 1 Destroyer and 8 Frigates, took on 26 Red pilots in 3 BCs, 15 Cruisers, 2 Destoyers and 6 Frigates. Blue take another hammering but still were able to down 7 Red ships against 15 Blue losses.

While Blue may have ended slightly ahead on number of kills overall, it was Red that was left partying into the night. However, on a personal note, I crashed through my 600th KM (involvement), yah!

I've always wondered exactly what is the financial backing of all this massive destruction. That and I wonder how I can get involved. Maybe a 3rd army, The Green Dictatorship?

No financial backing really needed, there aren't that many players (if any) t2 cruisers or above as it can be kinda unfair and people in RvB are generally just looking for a good fight. T1 (insured) ships and mods ain't all that expensive, even if you have to replace 5 in a day.

I was witness to a small skirmish this weekend. One member of both R and B were blasting away at each other outside a station. Each time one blew up the other, the loser would scoot into station and come back out to continue the fight. I was in my armor-tanked Hurricane, so I had fun cleaning out the wrecks. This kept on going until 2 more Reds came out in BSs and the Blue warped out.

Apply to either Blue Republic or Red Federation, you can swap sides later on if you feel like it. Fighting takes place in Verge Vendor region, Blue HQ system being Alentene and Tourier for the Red.
Your application should be accepted ASAP and then you can join the fun by checking on the fleet finder. There is usually a fleet up nearly all the time. Bring a t1 frig with cheapish fit and prepare to shoot and be shot at.
And also, http://rvb.tech-pc.com for basic info. There are some rules and guidelines. - cel |

I was in the first fight last night and it was a good scrap - despite the fact that I lost my Bellicose towards the end of it! I'm only on at weekends at the moment but there certainly seems to be plenty of action in the evenings - especially when the US time zone starts to kick in. People seem to moan about waiting around at times but having been in a lot of faction warfare fleets things in RvB seem to move pretty fast in comparison.
If you want lots of (relatively) cheap pew pew then RvB could be for you...

Ah the good old days of RvB, I do miss being in a perpetual war. Having PvP right on your front lawn is great.
Keep it going guys, and thanks Major Trant for keeping this once Blue Republic fighter informed as I have moved on.
I will say I have been tempted to make the trek back to the RvB stomping grounds and throw out some 1v1 challenges in local.
I just may do that,

as a fairly new player I wanted to try pvp and rvb has been a blast. I have lost more ships than I have helped kill but I knew that was going to happen. I fly rifter and as said earlier the insurance keeps me flying. I do have to go off and salvage now and then to keep the funds going but it is well worth it. I have noticed that after battles people who have lost ships seem to have priority to loot to keep costs down but I may be wrong there.

I'm blue, and I must say all honor to red for keeping the fights up and the entire evening extremely entertaining, most fleets would get discouraged and stop fighting after two straight losses, but red just didn't give up and it payed of for them in the last two battles. Creds to Red for that!
Great fights to all involved, awesome thanks to the blue FC for awesome strategies and random fun.
Also thanks to Major trant for being a awesome Brittish guy with an awesome attitude and a seriously scary laugh! \o/
