I've been in militia for a while and this is first time i've ever heard of FC's such as those. Of course, hearing this from npc corp person posting alt we might want to be mildly suspicious.
That being said, we still have some fight left in us as demonstrated by yesterdays "Black Sunday" which Caldari had going. Starting with carrier take down, then we had Villore fleet fight and for dessert we did some mission runner sniping in Dodixie

I've also been in the Cal militia for a while and I have no idea what you are talking about.
The worst that I've ever been in were people new to FC'ing or who told the fleet they were on a suicide run ( I abandoned that fleet to its grisly fate lol). In both cases you could take what you wanted according to hull size and with the new FC we ran into casual Wolfy guys on a Nisuwa gate (most of us got away) after which the fleet broke up.
Neither case was some nefarious plan to get noobs to pad Gal KB's.

Hi I'm currently looking to join a Militia (I don't know which one yet, and I guess my 10m SP aren't really enough ^^). If I may ask this noob question: Why does especially the caldari militia need help? According to the map, caldari militia has occupied most systems in the Caldari/Gallente FW Zone. For me as a noob, it looks like things are running well for the caldari. (Or does simply nobody care about occupancy? )

I support this message, though smaller scale pvp is a lot of fun. It's just hard to find Gallente not attached to some over-sized gang.

Yes Damar,
Congratulations on finding an exploit to get rid of the NPC faction spawns in hostile high-sec.
18 of you in Dodixie local and all 18 of you camping the Fed navy kick-out station without a single navy NPC to be found.
A true display of awesome skill there.

You arent looking hard enough! I've only been back in FW a few days on my alt and I see plenty of solo Gallente running around looking for fights. We run into the same issues the Caldari do with people running from even fights so its not just Gallente.
This morning I had 20 minutes to kill before work so I decided to run a lvl 2 mission in my rifter. I passed a couple of minor plexes along the way to Hirri and decided to engage a solo Executioner inside one. I chased him around a bit and he just refused to fight even with me being jammed by 10 Caldari NPCs. When his buddies in a Dramiel and Hookbill showed up, he actually started smack talking me in local. 10 jamming NPCs + Executioner + Dramiel followed by a Hookbill vs 1 Rifter and they were whining about 'easy ganks'. Unfamed actually accused me of stabbing because he couldnt scram me from 16km :)
In a perfect world every fight would be even and settled between player skills, but that will never happen in EVE.

I actually wasn't talking about that small of fighting. Solo to very small gang-fighting has always been that way. And I'm not necessarily complaining about numbers. It does seem everytime we take a corp op out that 2 to 3 times our numbers show up out of villore and/or from home systems near by to our location. We've engaged some, won some, lost some. Not really the point though. It's the fight that's the fun part.
When you're outnumbered, possibly going to die, but the fight is going to be awesome, that's when it's rocks. When you're repeatedly outnumbered to the numbers that make no sense, you just hope they didn't make it for your small gang, because that's not pvp, and this isn't some 0,0 space olympics for moon gold and stations. Though props for activity and the X's you get. But yea, pvp isn't fair all the time. So it should be dealt with that way, sometimes the fun can be the cat and mouse games.
And yea, there will always be ganks, but I think everyone is in it for the actual epic fights that fw, while flawed, has put out there for the gamers that don't want the 0,0 politics, the node crashing huge fights, etc etc or the fresh recruit looking to find some without being butchered one jump out of high sec.
And as to the actual topic, I'm all for this thread and it's intentions. As a lot of us are after the fights that make us play the game, we could use an uplift for the larger gang fights. No disrespect, and sometimes they'll be obliged, but the larger Gallente fleets aren't doing too much but attributing to a lack of fighting as it currently stands.
Lastly, I do want to say I think both sides have good corps, good fc's within them and players willing to fight. Though for us, we all got alittle too comfortable with the guys that ended up leaving. Hope they're having fun(/me shamelessly waves at Don't Panic.). This is in no way a whine post as everyone will find a way to have fun in fw, or find greener pastures, with or without rough patches. And, on the flip side, props to the Gallente for their activity and their numbers at the moment.
Maybe you should go make an alliance now, hehe.

I dont care about occupancy either. XD
Seriously, there are people on both sides who care, but they're a small percentage, and the caldari have more people willing to spend the time using alts (Whatever your view on altery) and other such tricks, and very few people hunting down occupancy are willing to engage the people hunting a fight.
When it comes to large-scale combat, the Gallente have all the cards right now. Because I can. |

For any prospective people looking to join up, I'd give you one bit of advice: ignore people like Bad Messenger, Damar et al. They only exist to troll the boards with the same old tired arguements about ebil Gallente exploits. you then get the usual Gallente Suspects flaming back instead of ignoring them... it's pretty sad to be honest.
I'd urge you to try it for yourself and form your own opinion. If you're going to try it, try the Caldari side as they need the new members right now (spoken by someone who used to be in the Gallente militia). Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

I hate people who exploit as much as people next to me. Hopefully you did petitions and reported those to GM's so they can ban that stupid corporation from face of FW?

Never thought I'd see the day when Caldari Militia would make this "cry out for help" statement on the boards I have been away for quite some time and it seems alot has changed, last time I checked we were the ones desperately looking for targets, oh well...dynamics of life and EVE I suppose...
Anyway, I would love to be more active (too much irl work at the moment though) as this scenario (we = less ships, they = more ships) is something I always have wished for, I enjoy fighting when at a disadvantegous position!

Yeah the next time I'm in Dodixie or some other high sec system outside the FW zone I'll try to care a little bit.
These CCP guys should hire PERVS to find the holes in the system BEFORE they release new patches.

Nourv**** (Its longer but I never remeber the rest) is the Cal militia home its in high sec three jumps from Jita. The Tama gate there is the entrance to lowsec but it can be rather dangerous to go through unscouted. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00

As Jin says, Nourv seems to be the norm for most, though i'd heartily recommend less camped routes in high-sec Black Rise (Samanuni, Onnamon and Ichoriya) or even Lonetrek option in Litiura. Oshaima in citadel region might work as well but i'm not aware how camped Hysera is these days.

It has nothing to do with patches. This method has always been available but no one ever used it before i think.

Not often I agree with Damar, but this is one of the times. There's more to the Warzone than just the Tama / OMS Pipes. Think outside the box and you're more likely to find a decent fight that's not against overwhelming numbers.
And as the PERVS can attest to, there's more to the Warzone than just the Low Sec Capturable Systems! At times you're just as vulnerable to attack in Dodixie or Motsu if you let your guard down and don't pay attention to your surroundings. ---------------

Indeedie. Personaly I prefer a low sec base of operations. That way you dont have to worry about running the gates. Also it tend to be a faster turn around to reship. I mentioned Nourv because thats where most fleets used to form up. Don't know how it is now because I havent been able to play in a bit. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00
