I looked around and didn't find anything that really addressed what I am about to say. Just like there is a system to drop your sec status when you shoot at someone that is not -5 or below in low/high sec, doesn't it make sense for it to work in the other direction? Using the same system that calculates how much of a sec hit you take for agressing someone, set it up so that if you successfully blow up a outlaw you get can get a significant boost to your sec status.
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. If you have a link to the post I would appreciate it if you linked it so I can have a look.
Thanks

Train someone for geddon/smartbombs, smartbomb jita undock, instant -10. Then farm this person by repeatedly killing him (don't even have to pay for pod since you can do it with sub-900 clone). ___

So what if the formula for calculating the sec bump was tweaked so that its not quite the bump as if it were like losing sec status? Make it so that its not quite as easy to farm. Yes it would still be farmable but it wouldn't be the last thing farmed in Eve. What if perhaps after you reach something like -2.5 you stop getting the bumps? Obviously concord is only willing to go so far. I mean you are still a bad guy, just bad guy that killed a badder bad guy.

I'd rather not lose my precious -10 for killing other outlaws

It has come up before, and it's always either too exploitable or too weak. Just like with bounties, any system that makes it worthwhile to take on an armed and dangerous outlaw makes it triply worthwhile to shoot a buddy/alt in a noobship/pod, and the risk never translates over. It's very rare for a low-sec player to actually want to get their sec back up, and the mechanic in place is enough to let them do it on those occasions. ======================

In settings there could be the "Middle finger to Concord" check box. When checked no sec bump for you.
