This is newsworthy why? Is there any places where it's actually not legal?

Is this real or fake? I am too lazy to FGI but that site has no sources listed and "play no evil" is hardly what I consider authorative.
This reeks of a hoax, or at the very least sloppy reporting. There were basically NO FACTS on that page indistiguishable from me making up some random BS on my blog.

I guess you could not register a gold farming company anywhere yet, legally. And since it's a legal activity, a game making company can't sue such company in korea.

Hey fellas,
Just spotted a similar article on the Korean ruling on Digg.
Link to CNET article: Click Here
Pretty interesting. I wonder what the potential implications could be due to the ruling.

The more interesting question is how this affect RMT in Eve. When it is legal in Korea to convert ISK to RL-money is CCP allowed to ban RMT-traders coming from there?

They do that so they can tax it. They don't give a stuff about legalities of it. It's all Governments are interested in, another source of tax. So expect it in the EU very soon.

Deeeerp. Hurrrr.
I'm betting it means that games companies can allow it if they want and everything will be cool. If the company doesn't want to allow it, then they reserve the right to ban away.

The question that this brings up is if you steal in game money from someone is that then treated the same as stealing real life money from someone.

If it is convertible, then you ARE stealing real life money. ------------- 'Don't try to learn Eve all at once, otherwise your brain will explode' - Albert Einstein ------------ |
