Patch isnt downloading when it realizes theres a version mismatch.
Theres no way to manually download the latest patch either. Well, yet anyway.

Try to be patient just a little bit longer. They are sorting out the final kinks now.

The autopatcher is now active and you should be able to download a patch by simply starting your client and clicking "Yes" on the appearing message box about downloading a new patch.
If the box for some reason does not come up, you can try downloading the manual patch:

1.1 fixed a the annoying nonworking Alt key and stuck key bugs among other things.
I am quite pleased so far. (knock on wood)
Thanks CCP! :)

One thing I've noticed is that I can get my client to freeze/crash if I change the texture settings while warping. When it doesn't crash, I get a funky redraw effect where I see all the lines appear, then solid blocks of colour, and then the actual textures. None of this happens in station. My shader settings are currently set to low. I only have 128MB of VRAM, so that may be a reason why this is happening.

I haven't set any of my settings on high but I'm already noticing improvements to game play. My FPS are much more stable than they were before. Not sure about network stability, I know a mac client will crash a little easier than a windows client (but windows will fall to it as well) when we get heavy eve traffic towards london (bug hunters explanation regarding my late night crashes).
If I try to turn up my graphics (have been a little afraid to with the memory leak before) or if I crash unexpectedly, you can expect to hear from me again here.
And thanks for adding the decimal on the numpad, I have plans for that button and my drones, mwahahaha.

Thanks for the fixes that come with this update.
I still got the issue where the jukebox is not playing the songs full length. See http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1234778
Thank you.

I installed the client without incident this afternoon, but I've just discovered that most of my saved fits are now gone. Only 1 fit remains. A corp-mate who also runs a mac client has the same problem. No idea if this is a mac-specific problem, or a more general one. =[

Graphics
- The medium quality shader setting has been removed.
Please can you give us a little background about this change.
Are all the shader effects that were in the old Medium now in the new Low, or is the new Low still lower than the old Medium? (does that make sense?)
As a user of an "older" iMac (mid-2007 ATI HD2600Pro 256Mb), I used to play on medium textures and medium shaders so would appreciate knowing how this change affects the workload and detail settings post-1.1.
Thanks.

I see the same behavior. In Dom 1.0.3 with my fan speed turned up to 5k rpm I saw temps in the 145-150 range. In Dom 1.1 it's 165-175. Being in a station or in space makes no difference. In my case the OS is 10.6.2 (with all current patches). Hardware is:

This isn't a Mac-specific issue, and it's currently being looked into. But I do encourage you to file a bug report.

Same here on a 10.6.2 Mac Pro with 12G of RAM, Radeon x1900 (512MB). I believe I was previously playing on High shaders. Now both in dock and in space, high shaders displays interface correctly, but in-dock 3d environment is black (changing to not-load space station interiors appears to change nothing). In-space environment is also completely black (overview window looks correct, but the 3d portion is black).
Runs for a bit, eventually crashes, at which point Cider complains (into the syslog) that it can't find the debugger to launch.
Undocking appears to cause crash 100% of the time as the overview columns are fading in.
Workaround: Low shader settings appear to not cause the crash.

Same issue here, on a MacBook Pro. Before the patch, all worked fine on High settings. Please correct this issue soon, because all i see is black, so the game is 100% unplayable! |

I'm having the shader issue too...
Did the character screen after you log in where the ISD reports are used to have a starry background or has it always been black ?

Edited by: Fairhand on 22/01/2010 15:27:50 It should be starry...
But here is a beaut! Clear your Eve Online Preferences folder, restart the game and on the login screen change the defaults from Interval One to Interval Default, turn off the game audio and "movie on next login" but DO NOT change the shader and texture settings from the defaults. Log in and WAIT on the character select screen for 10-30s and voila - black screen and Exception Raised.
100% reproducible.
This was on a mid-2007 iMac, Snow Leopard 10.6.2

I'm experiencing the same issue. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when they skip to the next trackājust at any random point, close to halfway through each song. __

Still getting the sharkteeth FPS graph, ie, my client stutters at even intervals and makes for a very hard to watch/click at game. Doesn't happen as quickly as before and I'm seeing fewer Disconnects but I think there may still be a slight memory leak somewhere, albeit a smaller one.

An issue that had me worried for a minute --> Launch eve, login, cmd-tab to another app... EVE disappears! No indication it is running in the GUI, not in the Dock or the cmd-tab active apps list. Force Quit also does not show EVE in the list of running apps. Happens in both full-screen and windowed mode. However, when re-launching EVE, the app comes right back to where you were with no delay, or re-login needed. A quick check with "top" reveals the wine & cider processes still running and utilizing resources while EVE is MIA. Never experienced this issue prior to the 1.1 patch. Anyone else notice this one?

Ok now I pay my Account with plexes until my wallet runs out of isk. If CCP does not fix the Macclient problems I stop playing Eve until it runs normally stable like the windows client.
