Brock is feeling sick, "for the longest time...[and]...missed almost 3 weeks of [his] camp." "Kept going to the doctor, couldnt find what the problem is." Went back to the doctor who diagnosed him with mono. Doesn't believe him. Cancels his fight without a second opinion...(hmmm...) Decides that instead of sorting out what is ailing him, that he's too sick to honor his contract, but not too sick to go hunting in the boonies in Manitoba. (Brilliant move...) Still doesn't feel right. Severe stomach pain. Wakes up one night in shock with a 104deg temperature and goes to a hospital in Brandon. (This is a town of about 30k people with some farms surrounding it for a total of about 50k give or take. The emergency room doctor doesn't know what's wrong with him, and as luck would have it, the CT scanner is down, so he can't even take a scan. Rather than going to winnipeg, about 2.5 hours away, he heads to Bismarck, ND about 5.25 hours away (plus border-crossing) where he is seen at Medcenter One; a private clinic. He's diagnosed with severe diverticulosis and has a ruptured pouch. 11 days later both the treating physician and the Mayo clinic (where he went for a second opinion) say he needs surgery which will net him a poop-bag for the rest of his life; they can't do the surgery until the swelling goes down though, so they send him home. He goes home and starts working out again, jumps on a high fibre diet. Goes in for his pre-op apparently a miracle occured and he's been giving a clean bill of health.
So let's take score...
Several visits to his American GP yield nothing and finally a misdiagnosis that puts his life and career at risk. No second opinion sought. An ill-advised trip to the boonies where the stuff hits the fan and he ends up in a closet of a hospital in Brandon, Manitoba which is now, according to our genius friend representative of the entire Canadian healthcare system; well it IS if you mean they didn't send him a bill... Goes to Medcenter One where they urge him to have, what turns out to be, unnecessary surgery that will end his career and change his life. He goes to the Mayo clinic and they advise him to do the same. They both turn out to be wrong...but since he ignored them and took some herbs and worked out instead, it really didn't matter what they said, right? Also, he got a bill from both of them.

Uhm... what?
Who is Brock and what makes him important? Some sort of boxer I assume?
What does this have to do with Canadian health care? All you say is that he went there then he left. Did he say something about the health care?
See I'm just confused because it looks like you started in the middle of something, and ended at the beginning, and there is no unifying idea in your post. Like a conclusion or whatnot. |

Actually not far off. He is an ex-NCAA 2000 heavy weight wrestling National Champion. Who then pursued a career in the WWF, then pro-football for a pre-season, back to WWF, then went onto MMA fighting when he signed a contract with the UFC.
He won the Heavy Weight Title about 6 months ago in the UFC and one MMA list is ranking him as #2 in the world, which honestly is somewhat laughable because his dominance currently is due to his weight and not his wrestling skills.
As for what the OP is talking about I have no idea

The guy takes meat bombs to the head for a paycheck.
Expecting any ramblings above kindergarten level to come out of his mouth is just delusional. ♥

I would assume, because I don't actually have any idea what this is about, that someone, probably Fox news, took this story and started throwing out the "Canada's Socialist Healthcare nearly kills Heavyweight!" "Obama's healthcare plans (which are nothing like Canada's) are going to kill Americans!" "Deathpanels!" "Obama is a commie!" Rah Rah Rah Rah "We have no idea what socialism actually is, and fail to realize that Obama is actually dead center on the political spectrum".
Nothing to get worried about. Intelligent American's will ignore it and the majority, fear mongering, crazy, Republicans (not all of them, many Republicans are great people) will acknowledge that the universe is out to get them before convening at the local Pizza Hut for their Tea Party and then ending their night with a prayer in their Glenn Beck Shrine.

TLDR
He had a bad experience with a hospital in Canada. He's a US conservative extremist republican.
Mir & Carwin are gonna pwn his ass when they get the chance.
