The vast expanse of space littered with twisted metal; the remnants of a recent battle. Hundreds of vessels locked in combat. Ships maneuvering, guns firing properly, drones launching, repairers repairing, modules responding, and it is all happening in real time without complications. A true Eve, no longer tarnished by the suffix online.

So what feature or idea is this endorsing? You want an offline, single-player EvE, or you want to actually travel to a distant galaxy and have fleet battles in real time? ======================

I propose CCP clean up the game, spending more time fixing the lag and current problems, rather than add more features, which typically cause more lag, crashes, and general problems.
The game concept design is great, but atm the execution of the concept is poor. Players cannot pilot ships into large fights, though CCP makes advertisements of hundreds of ships shooting at each other with perfect graphics. The reality is that you have to turn off brackets, missile/gun effects, all other effects, and logs just so you can activate a module once every Five minutes with a prayer of it turning off so you can reactivate it again. -----

I, too, crave miracles. I'd like to see assault frigates balanced, capital ships made worthwhile without being overpowered, blobs countered, EW fixed, destroyers enriched, low-sec corrected and the overall security status system rebooted in a new and fair way that adds depth and sophistication to casual gameplay and roleplay alike. Also, Dwarf Fortress should run faster on my machine, and I want a pony. ======================

as ccp has stated several times theres 2 teams, one responsible for cleaning up the game and one for new features. They are seperate teams with seperate skillsets. So its a little difficult for them to switch between teams, which means in order to implement your plan they'll need more staff/training and more money/lay people off... So its unlikely. Also, as you can imagine, new features tends to mean more subscribers and more advertising.
"Eve: Online, now with 23% less lag!"
doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the concept of actual expansions. Which each and everytime bring in new subscriptions.
You want ccp to focus on lag? Then you can expect playerbase to drop, rather than rise.

Edited by: Zaethiel on 24/01/2010 18:22:59 Its not that they have to stop making new content, its more that they need to invest more in improving the game play; for example, finding ways to reduce lag.
As far as seperate teams go; they should have some communication between each other that way they can implement new additions to the game while minimizing the negative effects that the support team would have to fix in the future. Other words, fix the problems before they are problems. -----
