I experienced similar performance issues. In addition to that I noticed that anti aliasing turns itself on to High from Disabled from time to time when I undock form a station. When I enter captain quarters for example it is turned off but when I enter hangar view it is turned on again. There is no way to disable or change other than to restart the client, AA for me when it enabled itself like this.
I will update Singularity and run some tests there. |

Tested stuff on Singularity, and there was no significant improvement of client performance, even that AA bug was existent.
Also I had a quite nice fleet battle in TDE4-H a few minutes ago, but the client performance was really horrible.
Here a picture of the FPS and Monitor window (notice that I was docked at that moment): http://i.imgur.com/QO6vm.jpg
I was at max zoom out almost all the time. Before the patch on monday I was able to play in fleet battles with a constant 40+ FPS. But this is quite the game breaker for me.
I'd have a more extensive graph showing on the monitor window but my ISP wouldn't let me participate in that fleet battle w/o resetting my internet connection.
PS. I also use Fixed Window Mode, since I have a dual screen setup and play either on the left, the right or both screens or a combination of those. |

The current Singularity patch fixed these issues for me as well. No more framrate dropping connected with the UI, no more random anti aliasing on session changes.
Looking forward to the implementation on TQ. |

Try to run some missions. That's how I compared between TQ and Singularity. |

Interface related performance issues seem to have been resolved for me on the current TQ build. But anti aliasing still sets itself to high on session changes from time to time. It's not much of a performance issue for me most of the time, but I'd like to keep the control over my client. |

Todays TQ patch fixed some problems for me like random AA settings. But after a while of testing I still experienced FPS drops.
I tested with a single client and ran some missions. Here the client graphics settings, FPS and client Monitor:

Current system specs used for testing: http://pastebin.com/BWGk1pxE
It is a ATI Radeon HD 6770 graphics card. |

Todays patch screwed things up for me as well. I have this jumps from 30 to 60 FPS too, whether I use a single client or multiple clients in fixed window mode. When I use two clients the FPS graphs seem to be very similar, with the lows and highs at the same time. When I set one of the clients to full screen, the FPS on both clients goes up to a steady 60 FPS again. Opening a conversation with an NPC seemed to have fixed the problem for now, but restating the client didn't.
Here an image that shows the client and FPS monitor of both clients and marking the point in time when the conversation with an npc on one of the clients seems to have fixed the problem.

When can we expect the current Singularity build to be released on TQ?
On TQ I have noticed that some of the performance breakdowns are connected to the rendering of the inventory index. Sometimes after I open the inventory in space this seems to start. Everytime the index seems to be updated (it flashes) the frame rate drops from 60 FPS to about 35 FPS according to the FPS Monitor. This seems to be fixed in Singularity I couldn't recreate this and the inventory index doesn't seem to update without flashing, but there I have no chance of testing with TQ like conditions of many objects in space, like ships and containers. |
