I would like to run 2 characters on my Macbook pro. that in itself doesn'e seem to be a problem. What is a problem is the inability to run in a windowed mode. Any suggestions/

I'm having a hard time getting two clients to run. If I have one open and I double click on the application, it just takes me to the open client...
any ideas on how to fix?

I suggest if you must run 2 clients you do it in boot camp. 1 client on OSX generates a LOT of heat which despite what anyone tells you, will ultimately effect the longevity of your laptop. Running 2 is going to peg your cores and cook your beautiful 2k laptop.

You can not run more than one character per client - You must have a unique client installed per character you run - so if you want to run two, download a second client - just remember to rename the first one before you download the second "I run with EVE TQ and EVE TQ2"

lawl... One client is enough to nearly burn through my desk. I can only imagine the portable hell I would generate trying to run 2 clients. =/

I actually had a MBP for a little while, and they replaced the logic board three times. then replaced the whole unit, then when I demanded an iMac they fought with me for two months because once they replace your computer, they are not obligated to replace a non-original purchase. I suggest trying to get your money back to get an iMac, they flat out refused to give me any reimbursement, but I did get an iMac after 2-3 months of fighting, they gave me a few Mac items to cover the cost, but now I am without a laptop.

I am totally satisfied with my MBP (other than an occasional WTF?! with the Eve Client).
I work as a Flight Attendant, so a laptop is mandatory for me for work and for entertainment. I do plan on getting an iMac soon though, so I can have more vvrroom vvrroom at home and keep my precious safe for traveling..

I found that removing the battery and playing eve connected to the A/C reduces alot of heat... It wont help with performance issues, but it does help make it last longer. Let me know if that works out for you. |
