what do you think Incarna or walking in stations will do for the RP element of the game? Do you think that note people will end up adding some more Rp flair to their game or will things simply go along the mostly Rp-less road we r on? Finally what do you most look forward to in incarna?

First of all, I hope CCP allows the walking in stations, while I am still in space, for example with holoprojectors installed in certain rooms.
Then I hope for a kind of corp warroom, where sensor data of all ships in space and all POS and structures is compiled into a single map, to allow strategic planning.
Other options could involve missions, that require a player to visit a station in person.

yeah, I am really hoping for a war room type thing for stations you have a corp office in.
I heard that you might be able to walk inside your own ship!!!???

To be frank, there is still far to little information on Incarna available to make a good judgement on this.
In terms of a corp war or planning room, which I believe to be one of the most likely "rooms," a lot will depend on the customization available. If you can make a unique "lounge" then there are many corps and alliances which I can see making their own rooms. Then the question becomes "can we invite other (out-of-corp) people?" ----------------------------------------------
Say "Amarr ships suk, lol." I dare you.
My statments do not represent the opinions, views, or actions of my corp. |

The one thing I don't like is that a capsuleer would actually feel disgusted or pathetic while outside the pod...
I want my character to prefer feeling human from time to time, only reconnecting with the pod because is necessary to do whats needed. Is that possible or are all capsuleers bound to the same mentality?
Another question: What happens if we die outside of the capsule? Or are we never going to engage in any sort of combat ever? That would be sad but maybe necessary to keep the way things are. Or maybe they could come up with a new plot or something to help this be possible and have combat. SAVE those who are defenseless and innocent... KILL EVERYONE ELSE!

I think that how you feel about leaving your pod is completely up to you m8t :)
as for walking in station combat, it is hard to tell if ccp will allow it or not. People used to say it would be way to hard to create a completely new set of fighting mechanics. However now that "Dust" is coming, I don't see any reason why their combat mechanics couldn't be transferred to Incarna.

It's your character, play it as you wish.
It just makes sense that people who can expand their consciousness to become a warship capable of ending worlds, and enjoying effective immortality as long as they remain jacked in, feel a bit weak and afraid when they return to their body. -----

Except that Capsuleers are usually not the 2m tall, shoot lightnings out of their eyes type.
While inside a capsule and connected to a ship a capsuleer can be incredibly deadly and many times more effective than a ship with standard control systems, but it is unclear if all the skills or the capsuleer implants provide any advantage while not being inserted into a capsule.

Oh, I'm aware of that. I was assuming that the advent of Incarna Combat would open up a new career path in the training of combat skills applicable outside the pod, including the application of highly advanced combat implants (if your clone is just an expendable vessel for your intelligence, why not swap that arm for something more... deadly?) or specialized skills for interfacing with combat armour/MTACs and personal drones. This would turn the normally frail starship pilots into cyclones of deadly force, wherever they are free to apply their new abilities. -----

Dust 514 II - now with station capture combat. Or Dust-players and capsuleers can socialize in Incarna.
Possibly.

will there be NPC's in dust like there are in EVE? I mean if a Dust corporation invades a planet where no other Dust players are, who will they fight? Can EVE corporations use those Marines, or Freedom fighter items to spawn NPC defense forces on a planet? Or in Incarna, could you have an entourage of Marines, Zealots, and perhaps the odd slaver hound?

Hehe... I think I'll be visiting lots of bars and other player run sites. This will result in me being even less active in space if that is even possible.
It would be nice if we will get the ability to "unlock" faction uniforms by having a high rank in one of the faction militia's or by having high standings with a corp and/or faction.
