How about the Jove ships too? Im guessing this question has probably been asked a million times, but have CCP said anything indicating they will become more 'involved' with eve?

But back in the day they used to hold GM events where lone jovian cruisers would show up...They took entire fleets to bring down.

CCP made a brief mention of the Jove at fanfest but the where, how, who and when is anyones guess. It could even have just been a attempt at trolling just for laughs. While the Jove have closed their space off to us that doesn't mean they do not have access to our space still, in fact, the very last part of the novel has a little bit about them and the Eve gate. I think they are mostly being used as a story element. I say prep for dustoff, nuke the site from orbit... Only way to be sure!

I think since then they have scrapped the idea until further notice as it would mean totally redoing the balancing for ships... plus they have a fair bit on their plate at the moment with all the other projects and hot-fixing going on. As for Jove space, it may be a good option to add to the game later down the line when the team have enough free time to implement something. Perhaps when they sort out bugs in major fleet battles, they could make it so you need a large fleet to take on the Jove rats there... or something big like that. I'd rather they finish off their current projects before jumping into a major Jove project though, the more they add to their workload the longer everything else will take.

This was how ccp introduced the cloaks into the game. Was a very fun event chasing him around the galaxy as he paid visits to the different factions in the game. I've still got 2 little red crystals and several of the poor shlubs body parts in my hangar. Once upon a time, ccp used to do "events" on a fairly regular basis, and it was a good thing.
