I was looking at converting a research only DG Large POS from a research only to a research / manufacturing POS, since I am not using 3/4 of the mobile labs anymore.
I know that I will need an equipment assembly array, small, medium, and large ship assembly arrays; is there anything else that I would need?
Also, am I correct in saying that I will need to transport the minerals to the array that I will be using in order to build in it?

Why would you use a POS to manufacture in high-sec? Stations have loads of empty slots available for use, and their per-hour charges don't come anywhere near fuel costs.
Do yourself a favor and just use the stations for manufacturing. Save the starbase for research and low-sec reactions. --

Faster build times might be a factor for some people as well as simply the notion of owning a bit of "space real-estate." _____________________________________________

There are a few reasons, build times, cost effectiveness for corp members, and also the fact that it seems like every time i go to use a mfg slot in my normal build station, they're all queued .
Besides, I tend to build stuff that takes quite a bit of time. So.. now that I explained myself, can anyone answer the questions that I had?

It all depends on what you want to build. The arrays you mentioned are a good start.
And yes you will need to put the minerals in the array when you start a job. The BP can be in a station in the system. |

Thanks for the answer, I was hoping I wouldn't need the silo's and the docking arrays.
