I dig not call you a racist. I called you a bigot. Bigot; One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ. For someone demanding that everyone speak English you might want get a bit better at the language yourself.

Yeah, see, that's how that quote thing works. When you quote a part of what someone posted and then comment the implication is that you are, in fact, referring to them, otherwise what's the point of the quotation? I am glad to see that you didn't and don't object to the term "bigot".

You didn't. That was a synthesis of your demeaning posts in this thread.

I love watching Catherine tear into an idiot. It's like watching a lion devour a gazelle. There's something poetic about it.
Sorry, I drifted. What was this thread originally about anyway? --Vel

You know, there is that little thing called "context". I wouldn't probably even post in that thread if Magnus Nordir did not use word "racism" wildly out of context.

I did, once. You are obviously very attached to your view of my "bigotry" and I don't see a point in arguing it further by asking what exactly am I obsinately and intolerantry devoted to.

And this synthesis as just moronic as your earlier hypothesis that non-English is form of code talking.

What am I to do? Being German, Italian, French and Irish.
Hmm, maybe not play eve any longer. So, just send me any amout of isk and get triple back. Bots will always be everywhere you go in eve. They can't get rid of them any better than ridding eve of lag.

Then I don't see a point in answering that you are strongly partial to your group (Anglophones) and intolerant of those who differ, as demonstrated by the cavalier "now we only have to teach those Russians some proper English..." etc.

Just as moronic? So, not.

But the problem with this view is that I'm not an author of quoted statement and I did not agree with it.

Assumption that no one will understand you in public place if you speak in "foreign" language led to quite a few amusing intelligence blunders and countless embarrased tourist. Double that for the medium where you can just copy and paste text into Babelfish or Google Translate.
It occured to me that someone could try to use it as a tactic to feed false info to opponent, however. I wonder if anyone in Eve did.

Anglos aren't my group at all (it's my 3rd language), yet I demand everyone speak English. At least in corp, don't care much about local.
Anything else is just, well, plain rude. And we wouldn't want that in our Eve, now would we.

There is nothing wrong with people speaking languages other than English in local/public chat channels; however, it is a bit rude if people who speak English, which does indeed approach a common international language, communicate with others in a language other than English around English speakers.
The thought is that you are choosing to speak a 2nd language that an English speaker doesn't understand in front of an English speaker, when you also speak English, you could be choosing to talk about/insult the English speaker without risk of confrontation.
