Originally by: Nalyae hey guys. stuff happens. technology breaks down. anybody who's worked with computers knows this. yelling at ccp on a forum isn't going to help anything or anybody. besides it's just about lunch time \o/
Umm..I've played alot of these online multiplayer games and this by far crashes more than any I have ever played. If it were free thats one thing but this is something we all pay for. It's getting rediculous. If it isnt the server crashing its the damn socket closing, seems like one or the other every damn day now..so,I figure "we all" have earned the right to yell at CCP.

"I am aware that everyone else reading this is aware that CCP is aware that Tranqility is offline."
But you are not aware that I'm sitting here in my "snuggie" while chanting for the return of Comet Hale-Bopp. Oooops, but now you are aware, so beware, or do you even care?

I love all these people who obviously have 0 idea how servers and networks operate who think "throw more hardware" at the problem will magically fix it.
Think about every character's assets across all stations in the entire universe and cope with the fact that CCP has to keep these things tracked in a database in nearly real time. If you don't appreciate what kind of work has to go into building and maintaining such a system then perhaps you shouldn't be telling them how to do their jobs :P

I always find it funny when they say "A game for the masses." Makes my mind slip automatically to the morbidly obese people sitting at their crumb covered keyboards like the grease off their fingers while they try to fat finger their passwords or quick whit retort to a forum post or some obscure chat window.
1. It's a game... 2. If you are crying over spaceships it is time to move out of mommy and daddy's basement. 3. This is not an attack at you, it is an attack at what you have made of yourself...
Get up, go outside , and breath deep. That is fresh air and probably something new to you. Enjoy life!

Can you perhaps elaborate on these concepts that you call "outside" and "life" ?

We have certainly earned the right to yell at Tuxford. Can anyone improvise a youtube video were Kirk is yelling "Tuxford" instead of "Khan"? He certainly deserves this now. :P

Uhm, If they cant do there jobs maybe they should be fired? After many MANY downfalls of the dominion patch maybe they should stop s*cking off Bill Gates and jump on a "decent" database bandwagon?
Also just for your information I indeed do know exactly how servers and networks operate. When building a game like Eve and you cannot make it run stable & right now it aint doing at all then dont put it online untill its fixed PROPERLY.
