Welcome to the Sansha's Cluster hub. Here I will post links to every episode of Sansha's Cluster as it is released. I know that those of you who are familiar with Always a Slave know that I traditionally post my work in its original form on the EVE-O boards. However, because of post length and delay limits, as well as language filters, I've opted to do this on the Veto Corp boards instead. You will find links to all other Always a Slave episodes and content there as well, and from here on out, a single post foe each episode of Sansha's Cluster, to make life much, much easier for me, and you.
Sansha's Cluster is the story of Amaterasu Mikoto and Reimei Kaminamida's son as he searches through a bleak and horribly changed EVE cluster two hundred years in the future. This story will feature characters from the Always a Slave story, but is not necessarily in keeping with the story itself, as there is a sizeable, and unknowable gap that must be filled only by the writers' imagination. Look for other characters and even co-authors in this new undertaking.
Please enjoy and feel free to discuss the work here, as I will check and update this thread regularly with the work itself and its progress.

Part Three is now being written. Unlike the original Always a Slave pieces, I can't post Sansha's Cluster as it's written, given that I've been doing it as a single long post. Good news is you get it all at once. Bad news is you have to wait for it a bit longer. Part Three promises to be a great one, though, as it will be a joint venture. Though this means it will take a tad longer. But we'll have it out to you soon!

Really appreciate all the feedback guys, both ingame and out!
Part Three is still in the pipe. It's slow going, as it's a collaborative piece, so it has to bounce back and forth a bit. Just hang in there, and we'll have it out to you as soon as possible. Really looking forward to releasing this to be read, should be a great piece.

I know it's been a long time since the last update, but I wanted to take a minute to say that no, this project hasn't been abandoned. Parts Three and Four are in the pipe, as well as a prequel from Cortana's perspective. The reason for the delay is that we've had a number of technical issues with Part Three (exploding computers were involved) and it's set us back rather a lot. The goal is to have it done by the end of the week, one way or another, even if we have to divide it into two separate parts so we can finish it the way we want it.
Having said this, there won't be such a gap between parts Three and Four, as part Four is already mostly blocked out and is just waiting to be completely written. So, expect a deluge of material once we get through the Curse of Part ThreeÖ and get it out to you. Again, sorry for the wait, but we promise that it will be worth it! |

It's been a long time coming, I know, but Part Three - An Old Friend is now live and ready to be read. I apologize for the extreme delay in publishing it, but the part was plagued by more setbacks than I could count. Special thanks go to Verone for help with a number of the ideas in this chapter, and the use of his character. I hope you all enjoy this newest chapter, and will be ready for Part Four, which will follow shortly!

Part Four is nearing completion. Hoping to have it finished and published before I head out on vacation. Although if I don't manage that, it will mean an extra week tacked onto the writing time. It looks like that won't be a concern though, as the end of the chapter is in sight, and only a little combining and editing to be done after that. Should be out very soon!

I know it's been forever since the last update, but between work and other RL obligations I've not had a spare second to sit and write. As it stands, Part Four is very close to completion, and I am hoping to have it done in the next one to two weeks. It will be finished, it will be out, and it should be sooner rather than later, I just don't want to make any promises because of how crazy things are. But thanks for all the questions I've been getting, and the general consensus that more is indeed wanted. It will happen, and soon! We'll have Part Four done as soon as we can, and again, sorry for the absurd delay!

Can you figure out some way to explain Sansha failfits in the next update? Maybe make them use zerg tactics?

Unfortunately I don't think I can even take a stab at trying to explain that. The assumption made in this story is that the Sansha learned to fit, and did so with superior technology. The ingame fits for Sansha ships aren't really at issue, and are too bizarre to try to make any sense of, I think. As to how they became so effective (in the story), that may or may not become apparent later on.

Sansha's Cluster, Part Four - Unwelcome Guests is finally live! We apologize for the delay, but this was a large, collaborative effort between myself and Vieve Tisserand, who provided the inspiration for this chapter, as well as did a tremendous amount of the writing alongside me. This chapter is also much longer than other chapters, which accounts for a good portion of the extra time in writing it. We hope you enjoy this section, and huge thanks go out to Vieve (take a bow) for writing this section alongside me, and to Vincent Pryce for his contributions as well.

He's clearly still delirious from being beaten over the head with a broom, but thanks!
As far as the Sansha fits go, I didn't even get near trying to explain those -- mostly out of fear that somebody would point out that I used to put shield mods on a Thorax. Crap. I mentioned that. Damnit!
