I certainly do. I must have about three copies of Tiberian Sun alone. But certainly, any one that for some reason hasn't played these classics, now you have no excuse.

I never really enjoyed Tiberian Sun it was just too messed up, I think being able to dent the ground (ion cannon / other siege) made things really annoying, BUT it had one of the best C&C songs of all Pharotek XD
RA1 will give a try again, Stalin was just soo pro, shame how he died :(
C&C 4 should be coming out soon yes?

Personally I prefer RA3, although MAD tank spam in aftermath was pretty cool when it worked XD
EDIT: Oh and RA3 is somewhat lame proof ;)

EA do own the property of C&C, but I am DEEPLY insulted that you said EA made them. They did not. Westwood did. Only time they "made it" is Generals, and then they made RA 3 and beyond.
In anycase, its nice they're now providing free CnC. ----------------------------------- Peace through power! |

the tibsun superweapons were pretty weak anyways
also, evidently the release of the older games as free is meant to promote C&C4 (which is probably going to suck but I'm going to want to play it anyways ) _____________________ Horrors! Demons in the deep! |

CNC4 has no base building, Tiberium rains out of the sky for... some reason, and units have no cost, there is only a population cap.

Its official, EA has finally stopped beating around the bush in destroying the C&C line of games and now they're just piggybacking the C&C name for some new alien franchise (Looking at YOU, RA3, RA2 and now CNC4) _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Well I am just glad they finally got rid of 'silo's needed', but rather than saying RA3 fails explain what was wrong with it?
Generals / Zero Hour was a huge disaster and C&C3 was just zergs for all but what was wrong with RA3?

We're not really saying RA 3 as a game fails. We're saying that it was a terrible progression in the Command and Conquer franchise, and that video is further proof of how far the Franchise has fallen and what lows EA will go to to advertise their games.
RA3 will never be a true C&C game for me, to be honest. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Objective based gameplay based on squads is not my idea of a C&C game, granted, I'll try it, and at least EA are sort of trying to take it in a new (but done before) direction, but it just completely takes the point out of the simple build 'n' rush style gameplay of CNC.
Although Generals did something new, I loved Generals.

C&C Generals Zero Hour was a cracking game. So much diversity with the different factions and great gameplay.

No, they don't make up for it. Battleforge can go stab itself in the eye with a rusty microtransactioned fork. RA3 was like an evil demonic game-designing computer trying to build a better red alert game

Command and Conquer: Generals was a ****e game until I mentally replace "Command and Conquer:" with "Age of". Suddenly Age of Generals was a good game, transporting the Age of Empires / Age of Mythology series into a fresh modern setting, while preserving the subtle comedy of Age of Mythology. Renaming the God power's to General's Powers was a gag that went over many people's heads (IE Gods and Generals, he he). Gameplay didn't innovate much from Age of Mythology, but hey, don't fix what ain't broke. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

You people are why PC gaming is falling out of favour with devs. No Im srs.
Developers try something new, and PC gamers(myself included on occasion) treat them like Heretics, deliberately trying to destroy their own franchise and the dreams of children the world over. Baldur's Gate purists rail against Bioware for making "console trash" like KotOR. KotOR purists rail against them for making "simplistic rubbish" like Mass Effect. ME1 purists rage against them for "dumbing down" ME2. Meanwhile, console players say "thank you sir, may I have another".
That's not to say a lot of console gamers are undiscerning, they simply don't mind changes as much as PC gamers seem to. Newsflash; it's not 1995 anymore, expecting developers to make the same game over and over again for more than a decade is not just unrealistic, it's borderline cruel(would you want to be trapped in an eternal creative limbo?).
I went back and played RA1 and CnC1 a few months ago, and they were rubbish. I enjoyed the nostalgia, but I realised a few hours in that it was just that; I wasn't enjoying playing the games again, I was enjoying the memory of playing them "back in the day". Technology has advanced, games have advanced in lockstep, get with the times or risk becoming one of those bitter tossers you see in comic book stores who rails at length to anyone who'll listen about how their favourite character has been ruined.
The Wii is still totally gay though :P _____________________________________________ Of Riches and Slaves - Adventures of an Amarrian Noble |

^^^ There are some games that i recognise as very good but not my cup of tea. Company of Hereos is one of them. However Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars to me is still donkey balls.
Supreme Commander Forged Alliance is a very good RTS and good hier to Total Anhilation. Supreme Commander 2 out in 2 weeks. Seems very promising.
