do: be totally paranoid and use your directional scanner at least twice a minute to look for combat scanner probes
do: if the WH entrance is out of maximal scan range you won't know if there is a blob waiting for you after detecting combat probes. To avoid a potential warp disruption bubble at the gate; first warp to a celestial adjacent to it for a scan in range and jumping from there will help you arrive from an odd angle at the WH to avoid small bubbles.
#1 saved me a harbinger and my friend a legion once; We arrived at the gate right before the gang's bubble went up.

put your alt in the salvage ship parked 100k off the wormhole cloaked, and listen for the WH activation (very deep bass sound) alt tab and check who it is, ive lived in WH space for months now and this has saved me more times than i can count. while salvaging with the alt, park your main at the same entrance and have your speed mod running while orbiting it at 100k, this makes it much harder for a cloaky ship to uncloak and point you (not impossible, just more difficult). Keep in mind, most WH's have more than one entrance, and if your doing combat sites, you often wont see probes on scan because expert dirrectional scanning pilots can find you while never un-cloaking. stay aligned, stay alive, and be paranoid

Edited by: RagingRifter on 16/02/2010 15:46:24 hey thanx for the information. basically stay paranoid the whole ****ing time. one thing is should i bring the combat core scanner probes to figure what's already in the system? i was thinking yes but maybe not....
any isk making tips like dont sell at jita or sell everything at jita. that kind of thing.
how much isk an hour do you think i could make if i did a level 3, and did 4-6 an hour? doing that many in an hour is possible? i just want to know your guys opinion on everything
what makes wormholes less freaking and more homie or is a wormhole never comfortable and welcoming

Dont believe the billion isk per hour tales. Dont take an expensive ship into a WH unless you are experienced. A BC will do. dont bring the Loki. Always be ready to find a different wh incase some1 collapses the wh you came in.(bring a scanning alt) Only do cosmic anomalies. Dont bother with radar/mags and grav when you are alone. Salvage is the money maker. You will get ganked, if not sooner, than later. So quit while you are ahead.
On the other hand, ignore this advice and pray we never meet.

Don't know about profits, but here's a don't:
Hanging around in W-space without probes.
There have been reports of people going mad and taking up the habit of talking to planets and attempting to make love to sleepers before finally self-destructing their T3 cruisers. Horrible stories ... *shivers*

An average c3 sleeper annom drops 30 mil ish in blue sleeper data and then you have salvage ontop of this. You shud be ablr to do 3 an hour solo and loot so you shud be making roughly 100 mil an hour IF your left undisturbed

on reguards to love making to planets and sleepers, i dont want to see their children....
another not i will have a probe scanner on bth of my ships. you said dont bring in a t3 ship :( it is good advice but i mean come on!!! this thing is bad ass. ok if a battlecruiser then it must be a hurricane with t2 guns and a passive cane with arties or autos. tank wise am i going to be able to make it. dps wise will it even cut it. how much less isk would i be making. and yes 100mil an hour is pretty good. but 8 of 10's look pretty juice :)

Even if you think you are alone.... you have scanned the whole place for other ships, you constantly monitor the directional scanner....
Someone IS in there with you, and will attack you!
Despite all this, you WILL loose ships (happened to me just last night, thankfully it was just a Hurricane). Even so, I still love rating and doing sites in WHs!

With your tank you should be able to do everything in a Class 3 WH except the last wave of

They are nasty but if your smart you can do them. Paranoia goes along way.
Also, get this link which shows the sleeper effects: http://go-dl1.eve-files.com/media/1002/sleeper_effects.PNG
for example: Awakened Preserver's -> repair other sleepers.

By yourself and uncloaked in our wormhole, that Loki looks like a freshly cooked steak and lobster dinner to me....it's ok, you won't be around to watch us loot and salvage your T3 wreck after we podkill you. (and no, a crappy hurricane will not solo class 3 sleepers)
What is it with people in mega expensive "uber" ships wanting to solo sleepers lately? Between how tough sleepers are, and how much more dangerous other players in the WH are, the answer is "NO", I don't care what ship you fly. Join a corp and learn how to play nice with others, I made 160 million ISK this weekend running sleepers with my corp in my Myrmidon. Remember that while sleepers are lucrative, you lose one 500 jillion ISK ship and your "Return on Investment" goes into the toilet.

If you are up to the challenge, a fully stocked pos will make the wh feel a lot more comfortable. The best way to make money is to join a wh corp. Bookmark both sides of the wormhole, check d-scan constantly, and if you ever stumble upon a wh with 10+ poses, its ours and your seconds away from being podded. --------------------------------- Pillage, then burn. Everything is air-droppable at least once. There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'time to reload.

If you haven't spent a LOT of time in WHs solo, start with C1s in a battlecuiser. You'll still make better isk than running L4 missions, and if you factor in the ship losses, you'll make more than you would with the Loki.
There are lots of wormhole-focused corps. Joining one will help with the learning curve and reduce your "tuition" in ship losses.

Edited by: Carthus Sondale on 17/02/2010 13:05:03 Typically it's also a good idea not to go into WH space alone. There are a lot of stupid people that try to solo gank in WHs and get their asses handed to them simply because they didn't anticipate we brought friends with us who ran a separate anomaly.
If you do bring friends, don't bother with combat probe scanning (although a little forewarning is nice), but do bother with making sure you're staking out the WHs to make sure a bigger gang doesn't come through. A lot of the money we've made in WHs has been off solo kids in pretty faction ships looking for free cash in mission-fit ships who get destroyed because they figured one or more of our gang members was in there alone.
Bring a sleeper-fit ship with a point on it, then have gangmates in salvage/PvP fit ships nearby but not at the same anomaly. Somebody warps in and points you, you point them, boom, gang mates are all over them before they know what's going on.
