Hi Guys,
the Geddon is a viable ship for lvl4 missions? if so, which could be a good fit? Geddon do very good dps, and have a very nice drone bay too.
thanks Toco

When i was missionrunning myself i tested a lot in EFT with all 3 Battleships and came to the conclusion -> geddon is subpar in pve but shines in pvp ------ I'm just a lonely pirate on my way to ascension |

thanks Slade,
currently I am using a MPL II abaddon, with very good results, but I was thinking on change to the Geddon just for the drone bay, I also used to use the geddon for rating in low sec, very nice dps from the geddon, even that at this point i has skills lower than today.
regards, toco

Viable? Yes.
Recommended? No.
The Armageddon is pretty much the Amarr PvP battleship. You CAN do lvl 4's in them, but the Apocalypse and the Abaddon are the better PvE ships.
I've tried various fits of all 3 ships, and I stuck with a pulse Abaddon.

I been using the Geddon because of x5 heavy drones it can carry. If not, then yeah, the Abby is freaking awesome.
Me Geddon: Low: DC, armor rep, x3 hardeners, adaptive nano plate, energized adaptive nano, 1600 plate Mid: AB, cap gen. High: x7 Pulse, drone link Rigs: I went all CCC's

No damage mods? No wonder you need all the drone DPS you can get.

Exactly the reason, sir.
Personally, when running missions, I prefer to perma-run reppers. And I simply end up dropping the dmg mods for the extra defense.
For straight pew pew, I used to run a gank blasterthron or hype along with a log ship and sweep through a L4 like a vacuum cleaner =]

The Navy Issue Geddon is a good mission ship. I'd save the standard geddon for PVP.

The Apoc is a viable "low skilled" PVE ship, as it has easy fitting and most important cap requirements (skill-wise).
Both the Abaddon and the Geddon out-dps the Apoc by a significant margin, so I wouldn't consider the Apoc always a better PvE approach than the Geddon. It gets tricky to fit the Geddon for max DPS and beams, in order to reach the ranges the Apoc does with pulses (ok, not so tricky with named guns), and in general is a fine gank mission ship when some-one else does the tanking - something that seems to be very popular among low-skilled mission runners, even before drones.
With decent Sentry drone skills, the geddon pwns. Join the Biggest Greek Corp! www.Mythos-eve.com - Join Mythos Channel in game! |

uhhh ... ok
First of all, Armageddon is a good mission ship but it's very skill intensive. Even more than Abaddon. Apocalypse is the best Amarr mission battleship overall because it is cap stable with crazy fittings, can fit a lot and shoots Multifrequency at 30kms -- Scorch at 85-90kms which compensates his lack of dps compared to the geddon and aba. I say go with Apocalypse.
