Well that leaves us with a little void. no motherships. well i have been thinking. i admire the nyx. shoot i want a nyx. being able to controll fighters and fighterbombers. well the idea of fighters able to warp with a fleet got me thinking. if you have a fighter and its chaseing an enemy. the enemy just has to fly out of system or dock and the fighter will stop. what if there was a more powerful ship. a ship greater than the nyx. one to fill the gap between the regular ships.. and the titans. It might not have a doomsday device. but it will have something even more frightening to those dependant on just jumping out of system to escape destruction. Remote fighter command. fighters will no long just stay in system. they'll jump with fleet. the'll jump before fleet. they'll chase enemies into other systems. while the new class of motherships are safely doing whatever they are doing. they will be stronger defensively than supercarriers. maybe only have 6 turrets like motherships now. but you will need a new skill to use it. "remote fighter command" or whatever the creators want to call it. each lvl will increase the range your fighters can travel. lvl 1 will be one system over while lvl 5 will be entire region. immaging all you pvpers. comeing across hmm... "gate fighters" around a new mothership. you run thinking you'll get away yet they keep chaseing you. they follow untill they reach the limit or untill they are recalled. maybe they will even camp stations.. who knows heh. and for those who have systems they want to keep. not haveing to work as hard to chase people out or hunt people down will be a plus. lol but anyway. in summary, new ship to fill the gap between capitals and titans, new skills that are scary in its own right, new fighters that will scare hit and runners. thats just my idea.
ps. sorry for wall of text. once i get a more narrow idea i'll start actually cleaning it up lol

that is my general idea. if anyone has any suggestions as to what its armor, shields, strutrue, fittings, attributes, bonuses, etc. start posting lol lets make this a joint effort

Hate to tell you this wouldn't work even if you wanted it too. The guy being chased through systems would just lead the fighters chasing him to a friendly gang and they would get webbed down and killed.
This is why most carrier pilots don't let their fighter chase people in fleet fights.

ah.. the web... i hate the web. ruins my good idea lol they need to come up with anti webbing technology. and add it to the fighters. and these wont jsut be stuck locked on who they are attacking. if more than one chases a pilot and the fighters themselves get attacked by other enemies. they would react accordingly. leaving maybe one still chaseing. while the rest fend off attackers. and if they were anti webbed. would be great. heh... anti web... i wonder if they will ever come out with anything like that.
btw.. i'm new to the game just under 2 months lol. just came up with ideas off top of head. though.. looking atit.... that might be complicated.. we're talking fighters with AI's.. hehe.. would be cool though.

good idea but. rather then them being 'attack' drones how about they be a electric warfare or support drones. so even if your targets jump system you can get your drones to jump as well and warp scramble and web them down so when the rest of the fleet jumps through your tagets are stuck on the otherside of the gate

heh.. i was thinking of something like that. rather than just haveing the drones be set a certain way. they should be able to be customized. fitted with any type of fitting. they're going to be larger than fighters are now so why not make them fittable. that way a player can change fits to meed the need for the time being. yes. haveing them with logistics or electronic warfare moduals is part of that. but they will also be able to have shield boosters and repairers themselves heh. heh.. ideas.. i love ideas! this way the player can truely play the way they want to. heh. keep the ideas comeing heh. and i'll keep posting what comes into my mind... which is scary sometimes.

so webbing fighters doesnt do anything.. well taht makes one less skill heh. and yeah its a bit far fetched. but *shrugs*. i'm an imaginer. hopeing to be a game designer. couldnt stop myself from thinking of stuff. heh.. especially since i'm trying to come up with something that fills the seemingly immesurable gap between titans and the rest of the ships.

Whatever CCP will come out as for mothership few guidelines needs to be followed:
Mothership needs to be like a mobile station, platform type able to move very slowly-40-50m/s and with huge mass-very hard to warp. Able to carry a lot of ships and items into enemy territory, provide services like: cyno, fitting, cloning for full fleet, repairs at 300km range for the battles given in it's range <hull, armor, shield, capacitor> and gang bonus. Should be able to defend itself with fighters and bomber fighters, ECM but no guns. * Please make supercarriers dockable after lunching this ship.
This is how i see motherships: you plan to attack your enemy, so you jump into enemy territory with MS, close to their base. 1.All fleet members(200-300) will clone jump to you and fit small ships and use items from MS. 2.All capital ships will jump to MS cyno.
Ready for fleet battle: to make sure the MS will be used in fleet battle we will give to it slightly better gang bonuses, highest range for repairs - 300km and, very fast targetting (due to it's bonuses)and bonus to max targets (more than 10)so it will not be repalced by carriers and super carriers on the battlefield.
So this will bring the fleet battle to the MS system. If the MS wins, it will aid it's fleet members, anchor POS and prepare to conquer next system. If losses the battle - MS is destroyed but we need to make sure the MS will be used in the battle.
I like the variety of items in game but i see a problem that is expanding: the purpose of the ships. Lately we had T3 cruisers and supercarriers but they lack a specific role.
Great additions to the game: stealth bombers, recon ships, black ops.
Bad additions: T3, supercarriers (i am still not happy with new role of killing capitals but it's much better than before) and i fear T3 frigates will be bad addition too.
But this is another discussion so maybe a new thread will be much more appropiate.
