Warning for anyone about to attempt this mission.
There are likely cloaked ships at the agent waiting for players to take the mission.
They will then follow you to the mission area and beat you to the objective taking the worthy deadspace module loot and your mission objective and only way to get it back is to buy it off the contracts for 200 mills. This mission beign 1 time only, you cant repeat it, it will effectively ruin it for you.
Not much you can do to stop them, but if you warp around a bit before going to the mission area it will make their probing a bit harder as they dont know which way the mission area is in.
I suggest not to attempt the mission if there are other people in the system, especially if any of them have russian text in their BIO. 9/10 This is the case, those guys do it just because they can, i dont know why tbh.
And if they do find your mission area, theres nothing you can do except aggro the whole room and warp out hoping the drones will get him, but this is unlikely. |

Mission is actually static so they don't even need to probe you down if they got the bookmark.

why ccp even put that agent on the overview i don't know.. I prefered it when he was hidden and u actually had to scan him out first.
Thanks for the warning though. i've been considering doing this mission for years now, just never got round to it yet.

How about bringing ure own cloaked "surprice-party" to the mission?
Or leave a half-empty Vodkabottle at the gates a few systems away.. That will clear the are of the zprutzki-zprutzki in 1 sec. Sig removed, needs to be EVE related. Zymurgist |

Hint then, look closer at what you've already written yourself:
Originally by: Industries CEO those guys do it just because they can,
That and two hundred million smackers, I guess.
... TBH I can't tell if this is a case of very perceptive design on the part of CCP - OR - more in the line of their usual tradition when it comes to implementing most things to do with Agents in Space (that is to say, poorly).

No. It was changed to a usual mission spawned deadspace long ago (at least year or even more) And that mission easely doable on any ship with unscannable setup. I did it at least dozen times last several months for my alts and friends that cant fly t3 with eccm.

You have to scan Jeremy Tacs down - his location is static in the system so yes the griefers (enterpeneurs?) will have his location. Where you run the mission, however is not - they have to scan your ship down in order to find the mission to steal it from you.
Some simple things make it possible to run this mission without interuptions, or at least minimize the chance.
Dont run it during peak hours, weekends, or when 30 ppl are in system. All lowsec plexing rules apply here, watch for combat probes, cloak up if getting close ore even arp out and return later. Only you have the mission location. They can only get a fix on your ship, and generally need to spend a little time to get the probes close, or enough time for you to notice and GTFO or evade. AFAIK the mission wont despawn if you leave, meaning you can warp out and it cant be found, only your ship.
I ran this 3 times so far without interruptions, although someone did try to probe it out during one, (unsuccessfully)
Just use your head.
Also the skill required for the shortcut is Plasma Physics IIRC.
And players greifing this ission is old news bw.

You don't need to scan him. Dominion expansion added celestial beacon pointing to his location.
And you need plasma physics lv4 to be able to use shortcut. Of course it is not necessary if you can fly unscannable ships. In that case you can just slowboat to your objective while have fun talks with local residents that desperately trying to scan you down.
And yes, mission don't despawn when you warp out. Mission despawns only when you kill Lazron ship.
Pro-tip for pilots that want to got something good in drop - use fitting scanner on overseer before shooting him. If you seen something decent like gist c-type x-large booster or machariel bpc - kill, else just warpout and wait till next downtime. You have a full week to choose your reward

This happened to me i lost a lot of sec status having to fail the mission
I had no idea the loot was so valuable etc so i naively went into the mission and i was warped in on by some guys in cerberus hacs who promptly robbed the objective.
Do this mission at some ridiculous hour when theres hardly anyone in local is the best plan i believe.

I would suggest you name and shame so those wishing to attempt the mission can just add them to their address books and check to see if they are online when they wish to run it. Most people will read this thinking it's part of my post, when its actually my sig :P

whats the omni dps tank and dps dealing you need to complete this mission?
Sounds like a job for a unprobable t3 if its possible to design one that can't be probed and has enough tank and gank to complete mission anyway.

if you prefer speed tank then you will need to have ~350-400 dps omni (but you will need to quickly deal with overseer before guardian drone battleships come to their optimal and start melting you) or if you want safe approach - 800dps tank will be enough to just park your ship near overseer and forget ii there till next downtime (if you want to annoy probers) To break overseer tank you will need at least 350+ dps (kinetic) or 450+ (Em/thermal)
