Edited by: Lobster Man on 19/02/2010 20:13:42 I do agree that such things as rr'ing someone with GCC should pass the gcc on to the person assisting. I also think that the system should be fixed, as getting gcc for rr'ing your own drones is absurd...
I also think that if a person is an outlaw but does not currently have a GCC, they should be able to be rr'd with no penalty or aggro on the assisting party.

I was in a FW fleet recently and repped someone who'd shot a friendly miltia member (by accident I think).
I took 75 Faction standing hits in 7 minutes (apparently coz drones have faster rep cycles according to those ever-so-helpful GMs) and consequently got booted from miltia for the standings loss.
RR mechanics badly need looking at IMHO.

The above post (2posts up) is very interesting since this occurred before I started playing I believe.

Originally by: Gunnanmon I guess, after thinking about it for a few, it's more like harbouring a fugitive. You're not exactly hiding him, but you're still associating with him, when you could be turning him in/podding the cretin.
in fact is something like, I am a doctor and I find a fugitive hurt and bleeding from a gun shot. If i do not help him and leave him to die... I can and will be (in many countries) arrested for denial of help.
That is why, in the US, Doctors are required by law to report any and all gunshot wounds (GSW). If you are a Doctor and you get caught not reporting a GSW you may be saying goodbye to your license very soon(TM). Then you can go completely underground and be a Doc for a criminal syndicate or something of the like
Slade
Stil you are supposed to help him THEN report it. If you do not help him and let him die you will ALSO loose your license.

The problem imo is that repping an outlaw doesn't make you an outlaw, it gives you a GCC which is a big difference. So if you rep someone in highsec who CONCORD & sentries don't have a problem with, you'll get CONCORDED. So basically CONCORD figure you're a bigger threat than the person you're repping in the first place!
They should simply change it as follows:
- Repping/Aiding an outlaw makes you an outlaw (NOT GCC) for 15 minutes - Repping/Aiding a pilot who becomes an outlaw/gets a GCC during the rep causes the aiding module(s) to instantly switch off (like how a MWD does when scrambled)
The latter change would fix the "oh hai can you rep me please deadspace fitted Guardian.. oops I just shot the station!" trick whereas the former would simply make you a valid target in lowsec without you being shot up by the sentries (when the guy you're repping isn't!)

Possibly also apply all negative faction standings for 15 minutes from the repairee.

Scottish law has no such allowance. If you are caught "aiding and abetting" you are treated as guilty of the crime itself.
Ie: 1 person steals a car, 3 others go joyriding in it. All 4 are convicted of car theft.

It would be awsome when CCP fixes the remote machanics.
I somehow disagree with them, that it is intended mechanics, that the aided person can kill the friendly repairer in highsec whenever he wants.
