I hate losing product because i offline my output silo to take the inventory out to sell....
...only have the time its onlining again be when the reaction completes, and i lose two hours worth of production, and an hours worth of raw materials.

Whats that going to do. AFAIK, they don't store anything, they just act as passthroughs.

Really? SO have the reactor output to the array, then from the array to the silo?
Do the arrays hold some contents during normal operation? IE, if the cargo capacity is not fill, will that fill up first and then 'overflow' into the silo?

If the silo is online the output from the reactor will pass through the coupling array into the silo (one cycles worth of output may stay in the coupling array - been a while since I did this).
If the silo is offline the coupling array will hold the reactor output (until it is full) and once the silo is onlined the coupling array will empty into the silo on the next cycle.
Hope this helps

Just take out enough fuel of 1 type so only has 23 hours left when you get low resources email is when cycle for that pos is just make sure you offline a few mins later and will be fine

I know your pain, OMG I know your pain...
I put up a POS to churn my fullerines and assorted ancient salvage into polymers and the nightmare of it just made me pull the entire operation down after a month.

Just link a second silo to your endproduct silo. you'll never loose materials there again __________________________________________________

This. No coupling arrays (read: extra costs) needed.

This is just a duct tape and bungee cord work-around for the missing timer. I'm with the OP; Can we please please get a reaction timer?

Does the cycle timer reset or move?

Sometimes it gets a little off, but normally its within a few minutes. Its the same as the time that it went online, which is in the starbase api. POS-Tracker displays this information.

Yes, because we want to spend time waiting for the mail to come in when with a coupler, all you have to do is offline the silo, take stuff out and online it again.
Worth the extra cost of coupler array? Yes, otherwise the reaction you're doing isn't worth it.

haven't had a director api in more than a year - doesnt the pos API have a "last onlined" entry? or was it just one entry for "anchored"..? can't remember - putting the gist back into logistics |

It would make sense that it would be POS online time since thats when the program would scan the POS and its contents and updates the various components that have cycles. One thing for the server to keep track of as opposed to three or four.
But i always thought it was reactor online until this thread.

The POS. The POS has a 'tic' each hour that everything in the POS is synced to (including reactions and fuel consumption).

It's not the cost of the coupling array it's the fitting requirements and the ******ed POS linkage screen that means that if you have too many industry modules anchored you can't drag their inputs and outputs to the reactors because they're off the bottom of the screen and you can't scroll the screen whilst you're drag/dropping an input/output. Gnash. Rage. Hate.

Well if everything syncs up at the pos at the same time then the answer is simple. They just need to add a start base cycle time clock.
