While digging around online I came across this thingy http://westkarana.com/index.php/2010/02/10/star-trek-online-vs-eve-online-part-1/
It's worth a chuckle. Though he doesn't have a clue on how a titan (or perhaps any ship in eve) is fitted.
BTW if anyone can dig out that comic where the Enterprise-D (IE The Next Generation TV-series one) comes through a wormhole into Eve. Could you post a link here? I've been looking all over and can't find it. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

The titan would never lock in time. Hope it has a smart-bomb fitted.

Wait, they can do that? would be pretty kick-ass. Like PvPing by pressing an "I win" button.

They would have to break your shields first technically.

Edited by: Pottsey on 22/02/2010 07:40:12 According to Star Trek lore Federation ships have 100% resistance against Lasers even with the shields down. So that might be a funny fight to watch.
EDIT: Someone doesn't know Eve ship lore very well. Eve ships have crew a ship that size would have 100's if not 1000's of people onboard. ______ How to Passive Shield Tank T2

I thought the same, but then I remembered it was a comic.

They won't be transporting the titan pilot into space because his shields are up...
And they might be invulnerable to lazorz, but what about the titan's doomsday?

Though Galente ships aren't exactly known for their shield technology... - In simplistic terms it has been said that there is enough Zero Point Energy in the volume the size of a coffee cup to boil away EarthÆs oceans. |

To transport out the pilot both ships shields would need to be down.

Same back to you... Titans have more than 100.000 crew members iirc.

Most Gallente ships use hybrid weapons (although, I can't say about the Titan specifically). --- Fergus McRae

No. The enterprise cited the low power lasers that targeted them could not penetrate the navigational shields. NOT 'starfleet ships are immune to lazors omg' OHGODS BELOW THIS LINE IS MY SIG !!!! SRSLY! Blane Xero > Lance is at -0.9 sec status with a 1 million bounty. Lance is also amarrian. Thats 3 evil points |

Actually looking closer, the gallente DDD might be an anti-proton beam. http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Aurora_Ominae
Quote: By using reversed-engineered Sleeper technology and advances in focused magnetic fields, this weapon emits a beam of antimatter that is capable of obliterating nearly anything it touches.
Anti-protons being a type of anti-matter
Also whatever the Tachyon Beam Laser is... it's not a laser. By definition a Tachyon Beam is not Light Amplification through Specific Emission of Radiation. And considering star fleet isnt exactly very good with tachyons, the amarr may have a huge advantage .
This also leads me to beleive that what ever the Amarr are calling lasers, they aren't what we call LASERs.

In all technicality, a Tachyon beam would be completely invisible, as Tachyons are by definition particles that travel faster than light. This is a game, i.e. illogical and unscientific. As are comical parodies. As is Star Trek. The comic was awesome by the way, and the last frame of part 4 was one of the best. Can't tell you how many times I'd get to a station and realize I didn't have the stuff to finish the mission.... _________________________________________________________________
